Wednesday 17th June. Still here (just). As expected, I crashed rather over the past week or so, and the anniversary was just crushing 💔 Huge thank you to everyone who took time to share my beautiful boy’s pictures on the 13th. Not all of our Muslim neighbors are violent. Not at all. The vast majority of Muslims that we meet will not be violent. We can befriend them and love them. We can share the gospel with them and see the image of God in them, just as much in them as it is in us and our children. At the same time, we must be completely clear-eyed about the contradiction between the American way of life and the ideology of political Islam. We must do that. I think we are obligated to do that.

But who is going to pay for that? It sure as hell isn't going to be the legislators, it's not going to be the senators, it's not going to be the governor. It's going to be the taxpayers and the farmers and ranchers who are going to have to equip for this. So right now we need your help. We need you to call all of the state senators, we need to call all the city offices, we need to send as many emails as we possibly can. Leave the farmers out of this bill. 🛑 Burkina Faso 🇧🇫 - Captain with school boys and girls! The young Captain was having a conversation with the pupils, and here is what he saying, “I was telling you a while ago, in school they were telling us that we couldn’t do it here. They lied to us. We grow wheat here, and it works well, and we will develop it. Some people have started, this year, I was able to see people who did it, as part of the presidential initiative, and I was told that in the past, some were able to do it and they produced it well. Currently, we are sowing wheat in some farmlands as part do the presidential initiative. What you eat must be produced here. So, this is why I say that we will teach you many things, and we will review the curricula they teach you. For those who drink coffee, they told us that your coffee, chocolate, it is only in the countries with abundant rainfalls, that here is only savanna, desert, it does not rain, we cannot farm. Again, they lied to us. It’s not true! Coffee grows well here, cocoa grows well too. There are people here who have the farms here, even in Ouagadougou here, there are people who have cocoa trees in their yards. This means that, chocolate that children envy those from well to do familes can be manufactured here in Burkina and all the children can eat chocolate in Burkina. We found out it is possible. As for milk, why do we have to import it? We can do it. I just want to tell you that there are many things that they never told us the truth about. You guys are lucky, we are now teaching you, and we promise you that we will do all we can so that you can eat your fill. After the Friday prayers were done, and meeting a number of attendees, Muslims and people of other faiths, we headed to the car. When I had gotten to the car, I had just gotten a text from several brothers who said that the other protesters had asked if I would share some words with them as well. So we turned around and headed back to the quad, fortunately this time not being accosted by any clergy or other counter protesters. The sister of one of the sisters who read the Tahāwiyyah with me in Turkey several years ago, took the mic and introduced me, and I shared my thoughts not only with the protesters, but also with the counter protesters. We all agreed that the blood of children should not be spilled, but some of us are maybe woefully misinformed. I reiterated, that we should all be ready to take people by the hand and sit and discuss these things with love with them, in the hopes that we all can learn something that we didn't know from before. I also reiterated, that some people know better and still choose the path of evil despite knowing it, and we also need to be strong in the face of weathering such treachery, hypocrisy, and devilish situations when we know our cause is just. YOKO ONO: ONOCHORD, VENICE, 2004 Yoko: The world is divided in two industries. One is the War Industry and the other is the Peace Industry. The people in the War Industry are totally together. They don't have to talk to each other, even. They know exactly what they want to do. They want to go out there, kill and make money. But the people in the Peace Industry, which are us - we are so idealistic that each one of us criticises the other Peace Person in the Peace Industry. And we are always just arguing and we are wasting our energies doing that. So let's just forgive each other and see that we are in the Peace Industry and that's all that counts. Even if you are not marching for peace, just be yourself, being a florist, being a merchant, being a talior, anything. That way you're contributing to the Peace Industry. People are just concentrating on fear, confusion and anger. And therefore just for a moment, I'd like us to think about Love. In a very magical, straight way, John and I met in London and from then on we stood for Peace and Love. And when I do this kind of event. Well it is... I was inspired to do it, but I still think that I'm still with John in spirit. John and I created the country called Nutopia. Not Utopia, because there was Utopia as a concept already. And we wanted to create a new concept, so we just added N on it - Nutopia - and as a country. Well, that is the concept of a country. And we all are citizens of that country. And in my apartment in the Dakota Building, we put a little plaque on the back door, the kitchen door. It says 'Nutopian Embassy' and even now we have that. (laughs). Nutopia exists in our minds. And because of that, some people want to rebel against it. The reason some want to rebel against it is a good proof that it exists. I think that it was a terrible thing that happened in Chechnya. But we have to still keep our hopes up. And instead of giving up, we have to keep on sending the message of Love to each other. You say that I am the Ambassador of Peace. We are all Ambassadors of Peace. You are too. Everybody in this room are Ambassadors of Peace. Just the fact that we are not participating in War. The fact that we are here, and we are what we are, means that we are in the Peace Industry. All of us. John and I used to say that our apartment in the Dakota is a conceptual monastry, just for the two of us. And when we go out of the Dakota, we get so many people communicating with us, so it's very important that we had silence and quietness. And my apartment is a very small space compared to the world. And I need that for my peace of mind. You should be kind to each other. You should come together, hug each other, love each other, express our love to each other and we should make it work. We thought you might like to meet Luna, the girl who was starved and dumped in Wigan last week 💔 She is doing well, her spirit is strong and she is such a sweetheart 🥰 In the last 2 weeks we have helped two dumped dogs, Luna and Bramble. It is a sign of the times, all the rescues are full and the pounds are full to overflowing. So this film is for the ones who are not as lucky as Luna. If just one person offers a home to a rescue dog rather than buying a puppy it will have been worthwhile. We hope it will be many more 🙏Lots of people aren't aware dogs are dying here in the UK and we have to try and be their voice.

🫂My friends, today we ran the kitchen again, and we made a dish of yellow lentils after asking everyone what dish they wanted most. It is an incredibly joyful experience to help others, especially as all other moments of our lives are filled with so much fear and terror. It’s been so long since the borders were opened last that there’s very little nutritious proper food that can be found, and we are doing our best to give people food that has good vitamins and nutrition to help their health, especially the children who need it to grow. The situation here is miserable, my friends, and everyone is exhausted and terrified all of the time. My heart breaks for the families living in tents for entire years of their lives, barely surviving bombs that drop randomly at all hours of the day, and there is constant noise in the sky that makes me miss the sounds of birds in the sky and the peace of quiet during the night. Every day my heart breaks more when I see the #animals and the poor #cats who are suffering terribly. 💔 Your support for us is the only thing that keeps us going through these miserable times, my friends, and for that, we are very grateful. I hope that one day soon this war will come to an end, and we can live in peace, and I can go back to tending my beloved cats like I did before and we can experience a moment where we are not constantly fearing for our lives. We’d like to share a message with you. Following the tragic events that deeply affected us all over the summer, and the sentencing last week, we feel now is the right time to say: thank you to the amazing people of Southport, Merseyside and beyond. We will continue to be there for you as we move forward as a community. We are working hard to keep the area we so proudly serve a safe place to be. Despite us all being rocked by the events that took place last summer, we remain strong, united and we stand together. Please take a moment to watch this video and hear about how the police and community have supported each other in this toughest of times.
