Wednesday 17th June. Still here (just). As expected, I crashed rather over the past week or so, and the anniversary was just crushing 💔 Huge thank you to everyone who took time to share my beautiful boy’s pictures on the 13th. Not all of our Muslim neighbors are violent. Not at all. The vast majority of Muslims that we meet will not be violent. We can befriend them and love them. We can share the gospel with them and see the image of God in them, just as much in them as it is in us and our children. At the same time, we must be completely clear-eyed about the contradiction between the American way of life and the ideology of political Islam. We must do that. I think we are obligated to do that.

The young Captain was having a conversation with the pupils, and here is what he saying, “I was telling you a while ago, in school they were telling us that we couldn’t do it here. They lied to us. We grow wheat here, and it works well, and we will develop it. Some people have started, this year, I was able to see people who did it, as part of the presidential initiative, and I was told that in the past, some were able to do it and they produced it well. Currently, we are sowing wheat in some farmlands as part do the presidential initiative. What you eat must be produced here. So, this is why I say that we will teach you many things, and we will review the curricula they teach you. For those who drink coffee, they told us that your coffee, chocolate, it is only in the countries with abundant rainfalls, that here is only savanna, desert, it does not rain, we cannot farm. Again, they lied to us. It’s not true! Coffee grows well here, cocoa grows well too. There are people here who have the farms here, even in Ouagadougou here, there are people who have cocoa trees in their yards. This means that, chocolate that children envy those from well to do familes can be manufactured here in Burkina and all the children can eat chocolate in Burkina. We found out it is possible. After the Friday prayers were done, and meeting a number of attendees, Muslims and people of other faiths, we headed to the car. When I had gotten to the car, I had just gotten a text from several brothers who said that the other protesters had asked if I would share some words with them as well. So we turned around and headed back to the quad, fortunately this time not being accosted by any clergy or other counter protesters. The sister of one of the sisters who read the Tahāwiyyah with me in Turkey several years ago, took the mic and introduced me, and I shared my thoughts not only with the protesters, but also with the counter protesters. We all agreed that the blood of children should not be spilled, but some of us are maybe woefully misinformed. I reiterated, that we should all be ready to take people by the hand and sit and discuss these things with love with them, in the hopes that we all can learn something that we didn't know from before. I also reiterated, that some people know better and still choose the path of evil despite knowing it, and we also need to be strong in the face of weathering such treachery, hypocrisy, and devilish situations when we know our cause is just. YOKO ONO: ONOCHORD, VENICE, 2004 Yoko: The world is divided in two industries. One is the War Industry and the other is the Peace Industry. The people in the War Industry are totally together. They don't have to talk to each other, even. They know exactly what they want to do. They want to go out there, kill and make money. But the people in the Peace Industry, which are us - we are so idealistic that each one of us criticises the other Peace Person in the Peace Industry. And we are always just arguing and we are wasting our energies doing that. So let's just forgive each other and see that we are in the Peace Industry and that's all that counts. Even if you are not marching for peace, just be yourself, being a florist, being a merchant, being a talior, anything. That way you're contributing to the Peace Industry. People are just concentrating on fear, confusion and anger. And therefore just for a moment, I'd like us to think about Love. In a very magical, straight way, John and I met in London and from then on we stood for Peace and Love. And when I do this kind of event. Well it is... I was inspired to do it, but I still think that I'm still with John in spirit. John and I created the country called Nutopia. Not Utopia, because there was Utopia as a concept already. And we wanted to create a new concept, so we just added N on it - Nutopia - and as a country. Well, that is the concept of a country. And we all are citizens of that country. And in my apartment in the Dakota Building, we put a little plaque on the back door, the kitchen door. It says 'Nutopian Embassy' and even now we have that. (laughs). Nutopia exists in our minds. We thought you might like to meet Luna, the girl who was starved and dumped in Wigan last week 💔 She is doing well, her spirit is strong and she is such a sweetheart 🥰 In the last 2 weeks we have helped two dumped dogs, Luna and Bramble. It is a sign of the times, all the rescues are full and the pounds are full to overflowing. So this film is for the ones who are not as lucky as Luna. If just one person offers a home to a rescue dog rather than buying a puppy it will have been worthwhile. We hope it will be many more 🙏Lots of people aren't aware dogs are dying here in the UK and we have to try and be their voice.

Following the tragic events that deeply affected us all over the summer, and the sentencing last week, we feel now is the right time to say: thank you to the amazing people of Southport, Merseyside and beyond. We will continue to be there for you as we move forward as a community. We are working hard to keep the area we so proudly serve a safe place to be. Despite us all being rocked by the events that took place last summer, we remain strong, united and we stand together.
