Summary 2025 🎨 This year has definitely been the most incredible, prolific in my artistic career! Won two official Art contest organized by PlayStation, had my art exhibited at the Fluctuart Galerie in Paris, I also had the honor and opportunity to be officially commissioned by some extremely talented people and studios that I admire, to create official illustrations for Control by Remedy Entertainment, Blades of Fire by 505 Games and MercurySteam, as well as by indie studios that I love with all my heart too, such as Digixart and Lowbirth Games to create special, festive goodies for their teams🖤many thanks to Juha, Antonela, Raphaelle and Chloe, Aicha, I appreciate you all a lot and I am so grateful for the trust. ✨️ The highlight for me was without a doubt being commissioned by the family of Guillaume Broche, creative director of the GOTY Clair Obscur Expedition 33, to create an unique piece for his birthday, a large 1-meter panoramic artwork 🖤 (A big thank you to his brother, Adrien, for his trust.) Then I had the opportunity to collaborate with all the voice actors of Expedition 33 and their agency. Even though the year started off in the best possible way with my work, I had a very difficult and painful year physically, with my health. I don't talk about it often, I'm not really recovered, and the daily pain is sometimes really, really hard to bear. To everyone, I hope you enjoyed this year of non-stop drawings, time lapses, paintings, cosplays, goodies, and I hope you'll still be here with me next year, because I have so many cool things planned for you all!🥰 Thank you for all the love, constant support, the kindness and all the encouragement I received every single day here and on every social media. #BaiLu on choosing to dub Li Peiyi with her own voice “I’d like to talk a bit about the dubbing. It was mainly because of the filming environment in Hengdian there were a lot of noise issues. When we first started shooting this drama, the plan was to use the original on-set audio entirely. But as filming continued, the environmental interference became too much. We had a huge amount of dialogue every day, and eventually the director told us, ‘Forget it either you dub it yourselves in post-production, or we’ll bring in professional voice actors.’ By the end, voice actress Qiao Shiyu had already recorded my lines three times. She worked incredibly hard! Later on, though, the director messaged me on WeChat and said, ‘Lulu, come to the editing room. Don’t just listen on your phone listen in surround sound and then make your choice.’ Since this character is somewhat similar to my role in The Legends (Zhao Yao), Teacher Qiao Shiyu had dubbed it very diligently three times. In the end, I spent an entire afternoon in the editing room, and the whole team decided together that my natural voice might suit Pei Yi better. My voice isn’t perfect, and my delivery isn’t the absolute best, but perhaps for Pei Yi who isn’t meant to sound overly polished or perfectly ‘pretty’ my vocal tone fit the character more. So we ultimately chose to use my own voice. As actors, we know that using original audio is a real test of our abilities. We’ll keep working hard, and for any areas where I didn’t do well enough, I hope everyone can be understanding.”

FREEBIE Behind the Scenes post! I reference Minecraft a lot on the comics because it's more well known, but 10yo's true love is a game called Terraria (basically Minecraft, but 2D and a LOT more stuff!) He's such a huge fan that his last TWO birthdays have been Terraria themed! With the internet being the cool place it is, after posting about my kids obsession, I became mutuals with the creator of Terraria, Redigit! HUGE Mom Cred earned!!! 😎 We got to chatting and at one point he said something along the lines of "So when's the Terraria comic coming?" He was joking, but now I wanted to make it happen! The problem was, Terraria is a bit more niche than Minecraft, so I needed a way to reference it while still appealing to everyone. I came up with the idea of Fran trying to keep up while Vincent switches through games. Terraria and Minecraft were obvious contenders, but I needed a #3. 8yo had been playing a lot of Pokémon, so that was my first idea, but Pokémon now looks very different to the classic look I wanted to draw. I was stumped on the 3rd game for a while until my kid brought up Animal Crossing! I'd drawn the family as Animal Crossing characters back in 2020 so it would be great to have an excuse to use them in a comic! I got to work on the comic by tracing real game characters and tweaking them to make them my own. I redid the Animal Crossing ones, making them closer to real cat characters in the game, but after looking back at my 2020 reedition, I decided to go with that one instead because it was more fun! When it came time to draw the Terraria characters, I showed 10yo the comic and asked if he could help me by designing some in-game characters I could trace. He was OUTRAGED! Not at the request, but at the fact Vincent goes back to Minecraft at the end instead of his beloved Terraria! I explained that the Minecraft movie was coming out, so it would be good for the comic to start with Minecraft Fran, but he wasn't having any of it and refused to help me until I changed it. Well what choice did I have?! I changed it! 😅 I didn't actually end up using the in-game characters he made (turned out easier to adapt models I found online) but I gleefully took his clever idea of doing game chat boxes instead of speech bubbles!
