Maharashtra on the Move: From Ports to Prosperity! Inaugurated the ‘Maharashtra Maritime Summit 2025’ with a deep sense of purpose, to transform our maritime strength into a powerful engine of growth for Maharashtra and India. The sea is not just a boundary, it has always been a bridge to opportunity and prosperity. That belief anchors Maharashtra's Maritime Summit, where today’s deliberations focus on how our maritime strength can fuel growth, improve connectivity, and place India at the forefront of global trade. Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji has always envisioned a port-led economy. His vision is reflected in the 'India Maritime Vision 2030' and 'India Amrit Kaal Maritime Vision 2047'. Inspired by this, Maharashtra is shaping a bold maritime roadmap, rooted in a coastline rich with legacy, especially across Mumbai and Konkan. Mumbai is said to be India’s economic, commercial, entertainment, and financial capital. But what truly made it the economic engine and powerhouse are its two crucial pillars—Mumbai Port and JNPA Port. These ports played a foundational role in shaping Mumbai’s position. To lead in global trade, scale, speed, and seamless connectivity are essential. Vadhvan Port marks a major leap forward. With the Government of India as the major partner and Maharashtra holding a 26% share, development is progressing rapidly. Port connectivity is being transformed through expressways, access-controlled roads, and stronger last-mile infrastructure, ensuring faster cargo movement across the State. The Sagarmala project, envisioned and driven by Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji, has given a significant push to expanding rail networks and enabling multi-modal access, with strong support from the Central Government through major infrastructure investments. Near Vadhvan, India’s first offshore airport will soon give us a seamless sea-air cargo hub. Our broader vision includes shipbuilding, ship recycling, and a strong push for water transport, especially in Mumbai and the MMR region—to not just boost trade, but also improve ease of living. Waterways remain the most affordable and sustainable mode of transport. As India works to reduce logistics costs and enhance competitiveness, the role of waterways in driving future growth will be pivotal. India is on track to become the world’s third largest economy. The climb to second and first will be challenging, but the path has been clearly laid out by Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji, and Maharashtra is fully committed to leading the way. All ideas and recommendations emerging from this summit will be studied closely and every meaningful insight will contribute to shaping Maharashtra’s maritime policy, one that lifts the State and the Nation towards true maritime leadership. Minister Nitesh Rane and other dignitaries were present. Narendra Modi Nitesh Rane #Maharashtra #MaritimeSummit2025 #Mumbai

Future is Here: Sustainable Transport Revolution Begins with India’s First EV Cargo Truck Launched India’s first EV-powered cargo truck, indigenously manufactured by Blue Energy Motors in Pune. This is a defining step in India’s electric mobility revolution, truly our 'Tesla Moment' in the cargo transport sector. While electrification of public transport has seen rapid progress, the need for decarbonisation of cargo handling vehicles was long overdue. Cargo trucks contribute significantly to vehicular emissions, and this innovation is a major stride towards sustainability and a cleaner logistics ecosystem. Stated that India needed its own indigenous manufacturer to revolutionise the cargo transportation sector. Appreciated Blue Energy Motors for delivering on this vision by launching a state-of-the-art, Made-in-India EV truck, fulfilling the dream of Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji’s Make in India mission initiated in 2014. This journey began with an MoU signed in Davos and Blue Energy Motors has honoured the commitment with successful execution. The introduction of battery-swapping technology is a game changer and is poised to revolutionise the EV sector. Maharashtra will continue to strengthen EV infrastructure along the Mumbai–Pune corridor. Under the state’s renewable energy vision, by 2030, 52% of energy generation will be from renewable sources, and by 2035 it will reach 75–80%, creating a robust foundation for a sustainable future. Congratulated the promoters, developers, engineers, designers and workers of Blue Energy Motors for their vision and contribution to India’s clean mobility revolution. Vision, Growth, Opportunity — Maharashtra at IABCA 2025! It was a momentous occasion to be at the India–Australia Business and Community Alliance (IABCA) Global Leaders Forum 2025 in Mumbai today. A forum that brings together vision, leadership, and opportunity on a single stage. The energy in the room reflected the growing strength of India–Australia ties, with business, education, and innovation shaping a future of collaboration. India and Australia stand firm on a strong wicket; the time has come to play a 20-20 game in business and cooperation. In today’s dynamic geopolitical environment, both countries must work closely to deepen their partnership. Maharashtra powers India’s growth with 15% GDP, 20% exports, 30% FDI, and 60% data centre capacity. Leading in start-ups and unicorns, it is set to become the EV and steel capital. The comprehensive economic treaty signed recently has opened new doors for mutual growth, and Maharashtra is ready to lead this journey. Our Government is committed towards helping industry and entrepreneurs. All permissions are now given quickly through an online system. Australian businesses should make use of this and invest in Maharashtra. Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji has rightly said that India thrives in its States, and Maharashtra exemplifies this spirit. Already past the half-trillion-dollar economy mark, the State is steadily progressing with robust infrastructure, and global partnerships, positioning itself to become India’s first trillion-dollar sub-national economy by 2029. Vadhavan Port will rank among the world’s top ten, making Maharashtra a maritime superpower. Super expressways will cut logistics costs, while the Navi Mumbai International Airport opens on 30th September 2025. Nearby, Educity will host 12 global universities, with the University of Western Australia and Curtin University already on board, partnering with Gondwana University for Gadchiroli’s steel hub. This collaboration across sectors is reshaping the India–Australia bond. As Hon PM Modi Ji reminded us, the relationship once defined by the three C’s (Commonwealth, cricket, curry), then three D’s (democracy, diaspora, dosti), and later three E’s (energy, economy, education), now stands on the stronger pillars of mutual trust and respect. Maharashtra is proud to be at the forefront of this journey, driving opportunities that will strengthen India–Australia relations and ensure shared prosperity. Minister Jaykumar Rawal, Australia's High Commissioner to India, HE Philip Green OAM and other dignitaries were present. Mumbai Climate Week: Leading the charge toward a Green Global South Glad to inaugurate and address the 'Mumbai Climate Week', India’s first comprehensive platform dedicated to accelerating climate action at scale in presence of Hon Union Minister Pralhad Joshi ji. Mumbai Climate Week is not just a platform for discussion, but a decisive step toward meaningful climate action. Under the visionary leadership of Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji, India has shown the world that development and environmental responsibility can move forward together. India has already crossed renewable energy capacity of 260 GW, and Maharashtra is playing a pivotal role by contributing nearly 48 GW. We have set an ambitious target to generate more than 50% of our energy from green sources by 2030. Maharashtra is rapidly advancing clean energy adoption across industrial corridors, driving the transition towards electric mobility in cities, strengthening the integration of EVs into public transportation, and enhancing flood management through climate-resilient urban development. This commitment extends far beyond urban regions, as Maharashtra is also nurturing a sustainable rural ecosystem by promoting eco-friendly agricultural practices, efficient water management, and technology-enabled solutions, ensuring that our villages actively contribute to and benefit from this green transformation. Mumbai has the strength, vision, and potential to emerge as a climate finance gateway for the Global South. Through the message of sustainable living under ‘Mission LiFE’, the belief is simple yet powerful: environmental transformation must be visible, measurable, and strongly implemented on the ground. Minister Pankajatai Munde, Mumbai Mayor Ritutai Tawde, Founder and CEO of Project Mumbai Shishir Joshi, and other dignitaries were present. Infrastructure, Investment, and Water Conservation – Maharashtra on the Rise!✨ It was an overwhelming moment to be at 'TiEcon Mumbai 2025: India’s Leading Entrepreneurial Leadership Summit' in Mumbai, today. Humbled to receive the 'TiE Mumbai Hall of Fame' award at the hands of the legendary, Infosys founder Narayana Murthy ji. This award is a proud recognition of the governance model we embarked on in 2014 under the visionary leadership of our Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji. Receiving this award today is not just an honour but a realization that our efforts are making a real difference and that we are on the right path together. All these transformative infrastructure projects in Maharashtra, especially in Mumbai and MMR—be it the Coastal Road, Atal Setu, Metro Network, or the Vadhavan Project—have become a reality because of our governance, which turned aspirations into achievements. Every project has been backed by thorough study and dedicated efforts, and under the visionary leadership of Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji, we have worked relentlessly to make them happen. Today, these ongoing projects are set to boost the State’s growth significantly. The 4th Mumbai will be created in the area of Vadhavan which will emerge as a dynamic new city, driving massive GDP growth and creating a thriving business ecosystem. In just 5 years, we planned and initiated 372 Km of metro, out of which 150 Km is now delivered. With each passing year, we will continue expanding and delivering more, ensuring a stronger and more connected Maharashtra. Being recognized for water conservation is a significant achievement. In 2014, 14 schemes were executed by 6 different departments. We streamlined them into one scheme, one leader, and one department, launching the ambitious 'Jalyukt Shivar' initiative. Our goal was to make 25,000 villages drought-free, and the Marathwada region saw a significant rise in water levels. In the 2020 Government of India's Groundwater Report, Maharashtra was the only state to show improvement compared to others. This award also recognizes investments, and once again, Maharashtra has become the top destination for FDI. This year, we have broken all previous records—surpassing our own ₹31,000 crore investment milestone from 2016-17. In just 9 months, we have secured ₹1.39 lakh crore in investments, with 50% of the country's FDI flowing into Maharashtra. Today, Maharashtra stands as the new startup capital of India. We are dedicated to reviving Mumbai’s glory and propelling Maharashtra to unmatched greatness! On this occasion, the Founding President of TiE Mumbai Harish Mehta, Uday Mohan, TiE Mumbai President Ranu Vohra and other dignitaries were present.
