All cats in the UK are microchipped, and the cat flap uses that to grant entry/exit and reports it.

The cat flap reports when they go in & out. The whole thing is controlled by Home Assistant. I created the flow in Node-RED, which I hadn't used before, so it's possible that there are easier ways to create this flow.

And here I thought trying to make a 3D plotting graph of the colour spectrum against the AA and AAA allowable contrast for black and white was what people do in their spare time.
