@B19farmer I for one don't blame FSD, but for 0.85 seconds it did absolutely nothing to prevent the collision. I am quite confident that my 6 year old BMW would brake in good time (as soon as that vehicle started moving from standstill) to possibly avoid the collision completely.

Bummer! I don’t think anything was preventing that anyways. Maybe…BIG MAYBE, if the accelerator wasn’t touched, but that was a very short distance to stop from 32mph-0 with zero collision. The footage is the best. Cut and dry with who is at fault. Oh, turns out human drivers are way worse than FSD. That’s the story.

Last November a semi changed lanes and hit me while I was on FSD. FSD didn’t budge. It the footage made it very easy with insurance. Most importantly I was unscathed. And while I lost my new 2025 MYP that I got with the tax credit and inventory discount, I was able to get the Juniper MYP as a consolation prize 😂 But that cost a good bit more and not tax credit lol. I’ll be an enabler and say go all out. Get the performance.

I don't understand why you would press the gas. You will have questions to answer to an attorney. Even if you are not at fault, an attorney is going to use this to prove the last chance doctrine. This is a needless accident and almost looks like you purposely ran into someone because you had the right of way. Having the right of way doesn't allow you to use your car as a battering ram. You will win, but not without some uncomfortable questions and answers.

I get why you were pressing the accelerator, technically you had the right of way and didn't expect the other car to keep going through its stop sign. But that's exactly why I hate intervening. I'm paranoid about overriding FSD like this, especially on HW4, where it's been right most of the time for me since v14. It may sound crazy, but it'd be nice to have an option that completely ignores our interventions when it's very highly confident they could cause an accident... @Tesla_AI @aelluswamy

Bro, I mean this in the nicest way possible - why the F were you accelerating into that!?!? Had you just let FSD drive you likely would not have crashed.

The general rule is you shouldn't accelerate going into an intersection. Ultimately their fault but I think some fault can be assigned to you as well (by the insurance company not by me). Thankfully it was slow speeds and no one was injured.
