What a load of nonsense. Webb's saying he doesn't want 60/40 decisions that are controversial going to #VAR...yet this is literally what happens every week! Look at the Joelinton goal that was ruled out for "handball" the other week...it didn't even touch his hand/arm! #NUFC

VAR: "We want to avoid those obvious errors that will stay with us for weeks" Also VAR: "Let me look at multiple slow-motion replays from several angles of this goal against Liverpool to see if the ball brushed the striker's arm"

None of us can be bothered with the “clear and obvious” nonsense. Just get the correct decision.

CLEAR & OBVIOUS errors…

I don’t think “transparency” is getting a decision obviously wrong, then lying it about it on the day of the game, and then 3 weeks later finally admitting you made a mistake with still no written explanation of why/how the offside law was ignored.

But there are 2 VAR officials, 2 assistant referees and a 4th official, if anything is missed or wrong, its more than human error

Have you ever heard such nonsense! They are getting it wrong every week and no ownership of the errors

Thats not transparency thats just Howard Webb talking , transparency will only be achieved by all the on field officials and VAR including the commander being heard by everyone !!!

So what you’re saying is VAR is going to stop disallowing good goals because the offside was so tight that it takes 5 minutes to make a decision 👍🏻 Level was always onside. Someone having longer arms or bigger feet shouldn’t be part of any decision making 👍🏻 Thanks 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
