This happened in 2022 In an aluminium factory in Spain

It was a aluminium extruder machine to make aluminium profiles. The plant is on Sevilla (Spain). When the pipe had a leak of oil, the oil was on contact with the aluminium bar (high temperature) and then occured this fire.

The machine probably did not have interlocked shutoffs for hydraulic oil pressure drop (signaling a leakage). Atomized oil kept feeding the fire resulting in a catastrophic loss event. Either way, water is not the best firefighting agent for oil fires. Need foam. Add to that the aluminum. Water may buy you time or be effective at an incipient stage if the oil pressurizing system had been interlocked to shut down the machine.
