Hey ICICI Bank team!! Make sure this message reaches Radhika Saxena, all regional heads, and your top management. Before harassing, abusing, and mentally pressurising your employees in the name of targets, you seriously need to fix yourselves first. All you people do is scream CASA..CASA all day long and dump impossible targets on ground-level staff. But have you ever bothered to look at your pathetic service standards? Customers struggle with unnecessary minimum balance issues just to open accounts. While public sector banks remain open for customers till 4 PM, ICICI Bank shuts its shutters by 3:30 PM. Cash deposits are refused after 2 PM and customers are pushed towards ATMs, and when those ATMs don’t work, the standard response is “come tomorrow.” Tell me one thing..if you don’t provide basic banking services, how exactly do you expect CASA to grow? By abusing employees? By threatening staff? My own experience with ICICI Bank has been consistently bad, and I know I’m not alone. Instead of unloading your frustration and incompetence on employees who are already overworked, fix your broken service model. Improve customer experience first..CASA and business will follow automatically. Until then, stop pretending that pressure and abuse are substitutes for leadership.

A conversational agent with no hallucinations! This is huge! Here is the $1M problem: Build a customer-facing AI agent that works consistently, doesn't hallucinate, and is fully aligned with the business rules. Check out Parlant, a FREE, open-source library. I've talked about them before, and here is the TL;DR: 1. Parlant gives you 10x more control over what your agent says 2. It helps you control how agents conduct conversations 3. It helps you control the service protocols and rules agents follow 4. It helps you control what agents can and can't say They do something pretty clever: 1. They have a set of predefined potential responses that the agent can use to reply to the customer. 2. When a customer sends a message, the agent generates a fluid response draft using an LLM and matches and renders the closest pre-approved reply template. 3. The agent returns the rendered pre-approved reply, not the one generated by the LLM. This maintains fluidity while avoiding unpredictability. Parlant also uses your domain terminology, invokes your tools, and implements self-critique to craft/evaluate its response iteratively. This pretty much solves any hallucination issues with your agent.

One app I really miss: Detour It was an immersive podcast experience that blended storytelling with location- you’d walk through a city while an amazing narrator (like Ken Burns) guided you, syncing their voice to your exact position... you could do them at your own speed, the audio would work even if you walked faster. It felt like being inside a documentary, with local voices, hidden histories, and personal anecdotes unfolding as you moved. It was founded by Andrew Mason (post-Groupon)... at the time (10 yrs ago) it was one of the best demos I’d ever gotten. Intimate, place-based audio. I think it probably struggled as a business (not sure how you acquire customers for a travel app like this), was acquired and shut down by Bose in 2018. No replacement has captured that magic for me since. They spun out the tech that they used to build it, and it became (audio & video editor) You could make a better version today with AI, personalized to the user.
