Ever just stopped and just watched a little kid be a little kid? ❤️❤️❤️ Is anyone else in the world more adorable, hilarious, curious, and full of life? Everything is exciting to them. A cardboard box becomes a spaceship. A stick becomes a sword. A puddle becomes an adventure. They laugh at things adults stopped noticing years ago. And they have absolutely no problem being themselves. They run. They play. They ask a hundred questions. They make ridiculous faces. They say things that make you laugh when you least expect it. They can turn an ordinary Tuesday afternoon into a memory you will carry for the rest of your life. That is one of the best parts of being a dad. You get a front row seat to childhood. You get to watch a little person slowly figure out the world. You get to hear their first jokes, see their imagination develop, teach them things, and watch their personality come alive. And it goes fast. Really fast. One day they are tiny enough to carry around the house. Then they are running through the backyard. Then they are asking questions you never expected. Yesterday, I decided to do something completely unexpected. For two and a half hours, I stood inside ShopRite and paid for every single person who came through the checkout line. Groceries, household essentials, food for families, whatever they had in their carts, I covered it. What started as a simple act of giving turned into one of the most meaningful moments for me. Seeing the surprise on people’s faces, the smiles, the gratitude, and the relief reminded me that sometimes the greatest impact comes from simply showing up for people when they least expect it. I stayed there so long that by the end, they practically had to carry me out of ShopRite. 😂❤️ But I left feeling fulfilled. The funniest part is that people started buying things that they don’t need 😂😂😂😂. For me, this is bigger than spending money. It’s about using whatever blessings and opportunities you have to make someone else’s day a little easier. You never truly know what someone is going through, and sometimes paying for one cart of groceries can mean much more to that family than you realize. If you are blessed enough to help someone, do it. Impact will always mean more than possession. 🙏🏾❤️
