Help us now: We managed to provide 430,000 liters for $4,845 instead of $6,300 by getting more free water from our partners at MSF. We are also working on getting subsidized fuel to further lower the trucking costs, and the desalination plant will also help provide more water for less money. Yesterday, we delivered 82,000 liters of fresh water across Gaza City, Jabalia, and Beit Lahia( Our team has now delivered over 11 million liters of FRESH clean water across North Gaza since mid June. At the current trajectory, it looks like The Sameer Project will have to reduce water in July and we want to do everything we can to avoid that. Please help now: The Sameer Project is facing a drop in donations and we are looking to diversify the way we raise funds. We are launching our website and will sell merch on it, and we are also looking for ethical businesses to provide us with a percentage from their monthly profit. Material support for liberation needs to be sustainable and not momentary. If you have any ideas on how we can raise funds beyond social media, we would love to hear it. This community is what allowed us to operate for two years and we know you’ll stand by us so that we can keep going and providing aid. For weeks now, The Sameer Project has been working on building a new desalination plant to provide a new source of clean water for Palestinians in Gaza. This will help us save money and have a new source of fresh water. This project is costing us around $200,000 but we will be able to provide 250,000 to 300,000 liters per day for a maximum of $2,000 - instead of the current $4,500 we pay for the same amount. The Sameer Project will save more than 50% of the cost of water distribution per day. So in around two and a half months of operating the desalination plant, we would’ve saved $200,000.
