Texas: The Crabapple Fire ripped 8,640 acres yesterday outside of Fredericksburg yesterday. Crews continue to build fireline and a no-drone notice went up last night over the wildfire along with a TFR. Thanks to the subscriber who shared this footage, there were over 11 fires yesterday in Texas that burned 13,000+ acres. The Southern Area has moved to a PL4. The fire is 40% contained.

Things I said were coming YEARS ago that people said would never happen regarding wildfire: • California Fair Plan would need bailing out. ($1 Billion) • People in California and the west would lose their insurance due to wildfire threats. (Millions of households) • The public power safety shutoff system policy would backfire, and power might be shut off even without wildfire threats. (Look at California today.) • People would forget about the Maui fire in Lahaina, and the community would struggle to rebuild. (They did.) • Autonomous drone systems in the market for wildfires. (On the market.) • Unification of fire Agencies (Announced.) • A national wildfire chief. (Announced.) • Oregon power company will be sued until bankruptcy due to wildfire lawsuits. (Announced liquidity issues this week.) • Consolidation of wildfire regions. (Announced) • The transition to an all electric wildfire vehicle fleet would fail, resulting in millions of $ lost. (It did.) • Cloud seeding used to increase winter and spring precipitation by western states to lower wildfire risks. (It did, programs expanding.) • A wildfire AI technology stack from satellite, to drone, to software. (It did.) • Venture Capital $ pouring into wildfire tech would outpace wildland firefighter pay on an annual basis. (It did.) • DEI policies in the wildfire agencies would come back to haunt those that implemented them. (It did, a full purge actually happened) • Hotshot Movie would be the best wildfire movie ever made. (Haven’t found a better one.) • The Forest Service would have to lay off thousands of people because they over spent and didn’t even know how many employees they had. (Fired all non fire seasons, October 2024.) • Wildfire will only become more politicized, to the detriment of the workforce. (I mean…. Yeah.) • Smokey Bear will get jacked. (Not quite yet, but getting closer.) The list goes on. Some of these predictions led to some pretty vile attacks against me…. Worth it.
