@Sflecce @fordnation Did you all think that teachers were allowing unrestricted cellphone use and vaping in school before you “banned” them? How about funding smaller class sizes so that monitoring these things is more manageable?

@StanChoMPP @Sflecce @fordnation You’re cutting staff in the classroom. Student numbers are up, staffing numbers are down. I don’t think when parents filled out that survey that your party hid the results of they asked for bigger class sizes…

@Sflecce @fordnation A “ban” without legislation is a publicity stunt at best. Restricting cellphone use during instructional time is a decision already being made by most peoples professional judgement.

Those in Grade 7 to 12 won't be able to use their devices during class time. We had a chance to speak with Ontario's Minister of Education Stephen Lecce, about the new policy and what students, parents and teachers can expect going forward.

Perhaps she should focus on students LEARNING the ABCs, not mocking agents who are getting criminals off the streets.
