We want the best 4-year universities in the country, and we also want more schools to train students in the skilled trades - to be electricians, welders, plumbers, & carpenters. Those goals aren’t in tension, they actually go together.

We’ll stand for Ohio’s farmers & Lake Erie water quality at the same time. Same goes for expanded tourism & local quality of life. Economic health & ecological health aren’t in tension, they actually go together if we do it right.

Lowering standards for black and female students results in those students entering into an academic environment they are not qualified for. Then, when they fall behind, they are told it is because of racism or the patriarchy. It is cruel to admit these unqualified students so that administrators get more diverse photos on their college website.
