A school student from Wellawaya is currently receiving treatment in hospital after being assaulted by police officers. The incident took place in the Kuduoya area, where the student was stopped by officers while riding a motorcycle. During the stop, the officers asked to check his license, but the student explained that he had left it at home and offered to return and show it later. In response, two officers reportedly handcuffed the student and attempted to assault him. Local residents who witnessed the situation intervened and strongly protested, causing the officers to release the student. The administration quickly brought in high-tech machinery and rescued the victims one by one, rushing them to the hospital. A total of 15 people were rescued, of whom three have already been discharged. Twelve people sustained injuries, and some are in the ICU. However, according to the doctors, no one is in critical condition. It was a major incident, but all twelve injured people are safe.... The Chief Minister has instructed all departments to ensure that everyone receives proper treatment and care. A horrifying lift accident in Ongole has claimed the life of a 50-year-old woman after an elevator at Surya Towers allegedly moved down suddenly with its door open, leaving her with little time to react. Sweden’s Migration Minister Johan Forssell says it’s an example of disgusting “honor culture” while Social Minister Jakob Forsmed says he will investigate whether the mosque is receiving money from Swedish taxpayers. Sweden has had an increasing problem for decades with so-called “honor killings” in which families kill their daughters, wives, sisters and mothers if they live in a way that’s considered to bring “dishonor to the family’s reputation from the local community.” Often, women are thrown out of balconies and all family members then say they saw them jump, making such murder cases very difficult to prove in court. 🇸🇪

Woman Suffers Severe Injuries in Dog Attack at HSR Layout; Owner Booked in Bengaluru A morning walk turned tragic for a resident of Teachers Colony in HSR Layout, Bengaluru, when she was mauled by a Pet Dog, leaving her with severe injuries. The incident occurred around 6:00 am on January 26 at 13th Cross Road. According to the FIR filed at the HSR Layout Police Station, the victim, Shalini Dubey, was attacked by a dog belonging to local resident Amaresh Reddy. The complainant, her husband, stated that the attack was so forceful it knocked his wife to the ground. The dog bit her on the face, hands, and legs, resulting in significant blood loss.
