A school student from Wellawaya is currently receiving treatment in hospital after being assaulted by police officers. The incident took place in the Kuduoya area, where the student was stopped by officers while riding a motorcycle. The complainant alleges that although Reddy was holding the dog at the time of the incident, he failed to control the animal, describing his actions as “negligent conduct.” The victim is currently admitted to a private hospital and is receiving treatment.
