🚀Thrilled to share what we’ve been building at TRI over the past several months: our first Large Behavior Models (LBMs) are here! I’m proud to have been a core contributor to the multi-task policy learning and post-training efforts. At TRI, we’ve been researching how LBMs can help robots learn faster, better, and more efficiently. The key takeaways: ✅ We built an evaluation pipeline to benchmark LBM performance with real 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 ✅ Pre-training on hundreds of tasks makes models more robust—plus, we can teach new, complex tasks with 80% 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚 ✅ The bigger and more diverse the pre-training, the better the results Check out our overview video, webpage and paper for more details: ✨ 🌎 📄 We hope this work helps move the field of robotics forward!

Last week we wrapped up our training at SpaceX - Crew-12 is certified for flight and ready to go to the International Space Station! We’ve now entered quarantine and are prepping our families and logistics. We’re L-13 days from launch at the NASA's Kennedy Space Center! Good exchange with Kristalina Georgieva on Europe’s competitiveness. A strong starting point for today’s discussions at our College seminar. In a world of sharp competition and short horizons, we are building Europe’s competitiveness. It begins with strength at home. With jobs and growth in Europe. And with simpler rules for our businesses and citizens. It extends through our ever increasing network of trusted trade partners. Looking forward to today’s discussion. This work will continue with EU leaders on 12 February. The urgency is clear to us all.

One of the happiest moments of my life occurred last night. The whole family was outside helping to pull garlic - softneck variety - first year we’ve ever planted one and it’s quite a bit more difficult to harvest than hardnecks. Everyone needs to head inside to bed, I’ve already accepted that I’ll be out and might see sunrise - I didn’t, but it could’ve been close. My son - despite being offered to go inside just persisted that he wanted to stay and work with me. He crushed it - helped me pull garlic, loaded the bucket of the tractor, directed me to stop, move forward, etc. My son really brought value via work effort and productivity. But more than that, he chose to stay with me and wanted to work. It was a quiet happiness and one I hope exists for the rest of our lives wherever he may go and however we may work together.

Catching up on the CES 2026 updates from Insta360, and the new Link 2 Pro and Link 2C Pro feel very aligned with how creators and professionals actually work today. What stood out to me is the focus on control without complexity. From cleaner image quality (even in low light) to smart tracking and auto-framing that doesn’t feel distracting, these webcams seem built for real-world hybrid setups. The Elgato Stream Deck integration, as highlighted by Louis Peeters at CES, is a nice touch too, being able to control camera modes and framing with a single tap makes a real difference during live sessions. Overall, it’s less about flashy features and more about making on camera work smoother and more intentional. We have been strategically quieter on the timeline, while relentlessly focused on building a self-sustaining, successful platform that thrives with both web2 and web3 audiences. We have been validating secret projects, while competitors seem to be continuing in the wrong direction. The team has been working on the most valuable experiences and products possible now that we have the fastest/best-in-class 3D experience creator out there. Portals has always been a labor of love. It’s our life’s work, and we are not going anywhere. Solana is also here to stay, further establishing itself as a force to be reckoned with and gaining more of the recognition it deserves. It's time for us to put forward more of the on-chain ecosystem projects we have always wanted to do. Rolling out new systems, incentives, and experiences to fortify Portals as one web3's killer apps and top destinations. We have a lot to share, and we can't wait to show you. I've always admired Dash and the team's design principles, work ethics, attention to detail, and it's especially exciting because I've been a long-time user of UI8's products since the very beginning of my career in 2014. Probably always sensed that our work principles match in many aspects. It still feels surreal to join this incredible team with a mission to help building the future of asset marketplaces for designers (and much more). June 4th, 1994 our lives forever changed. We said, “I do!”. With those two words, we said, yes, to all the highs, the lows, and everything in between. God has blessed us with four absolutely amazing children who are now amazing adults, with their own best friends/significant others (that they’re doing life with), we have three incredible grandsons, and a beautiful granddaughter on the way. We’ve lived where we both grew up (on the East Coast), and have now been out here in San Diego for just over 11 years. We’ve gotten jobs (and lost jobs), we’ve had more times than we can count where we couldn’t make ends meet, even though both you and I were working two, and sometimes three jobs at a time, and we’ve been blessed in ways that we could’ve never dreamed of. We’ve watched both my parents pass on, and are now dealing with the overwhelmingly difficult challenge of seeing your parents struggle with their own health in ways that no one should have to go through. Through it all (even in the midst of the chaos), we’ve been blessed to be by each other‘s sides! I thank God for you every day, Jillian! I love our adventures together (the big ones where we fly to somewhere we’ve never been before, and the little ones where we hop in the car with no agenda, and just drive). I love when we find ourselves in deeper conversation, laughter, and tears of joy then ever expected, and in the moments of silence, where no words are even spoken, but when we’re together, just being where our feet are. As the world (as we know it), keeps getting crazier and crazier, let’s continue to keep Christ in the center of all we do, keep leaning on and lifting each other up when it’s needed, and keep living the lives that we have been so incredibly blessed to live together. I love you with all my heart Jillian. Happy 32nd (heading into our 33rd year), Anniversary.
