We're building Perpl to be the most gas-optimized CLOB. Monad uses priority gas auctions, and cheaper transactions have a higher chance of inclusion and (possibly) earlier in the block. Here is a practical example: - Market makers have to constantly update their orders on the book using non-matching (post, cancel) orders. - Cheaper post/cancel = more frequent updates = tighter spreads. That is the objective function! Poor CLOB designs would make market-making expensive, and those inefficiencies cannot be obfuscated on an L1, unlike on app-chains or beefy L2 sequencers.

Honestly, I’m a simple guy, and life has taught me to trust only what I see with my own eyes — and I know very well how people can play games with statistics So I decided to check for myself whether Lighter really has such huge order execution delays and slippage that it makes trading on it unprofitable So I just did what I normally do: when I want to buy something or close a position, I click “market buy” and “close position” $1k – 10x leverage – 5 times market buy and close position 𝔡 vs Andrew Cost: Lighter – $4 Hyperliquid – $47 Please also note the delay. On the lighter, it is the same or faster Next time some smart guy starts throwing fancy terms in your face, just show him this video

People really need to stop using the betting market as a poll, because the truth is the betting market this far out is never going to be accurate for multiple reasons. Number one: A lot of people make bets on emotions, not data. Number two: It’s incredibly easy to manipulate the market for pump and dumps. Number three: It’s even easier for people with a lot of money who want to control the narrative to manipulate the market for political messaging. The bottom line is, the most accurate a betting market is when it comes to political candidates, is the day of the election, and the further out from Election Day it is, the more inaccurate it will be.
