Two friends are doing a dance for a school talent show. Some say they are mocking masculinity because real men don’t have a soft side like this. They are breaking the lines of what masculinity is, it’s okay for men to show feelings and it’s okay for men to cry. For me this shows that the only boundaries for masculinity is the ones either society or ourselves assign to it. I think their message is clear and I would vote for them if I was a judge, so they have your vote?

Toxic empathy is not the love of Christ. Feeling for others by excusing harmful behavior in the name of empathy is not compassion or love. True love speaks truth, and calls people to responsibility because that’s what is truly best for them. All compassion must be tempered with Wisdom and Truth. We can end up supporting harmful things when we use our feelings and not the Word to rightly judge right from wrong.
