I spent last weekend at OHANAEZE FARM Ohanaeze FARM & Resort — the largest fenced livestock farm by land size in Southeast Nigeria. We’re building steadily and expanding every month, gradually onboarding more livestock as we work toward our bold target of 5,000 cows and 10,000 goats. During my visit, I commissioned our engineer to begin construction of our Pig Farm a major milestone in our journey. On the same day, I was also on-site with a plumbing team to kick off the installation of a large-scale irrigation system. This system will tap into the local Amanyi Stream to provide year-round irrigation for our pasturelands. The goal is to cultivate high-nutrient livestock grasses like Super Napier and leguminous forage crops, significantly reducing our monthly overhead costs on commercial feed. Our long-term goal is bold but clear: to meet 40% of the Southeast’s beef and meat demand through local production. We’re also establishing our own meat processing facility under our subsidiary brand, “BETANỤ” (BETANỤ), to ensure quality control and value addition across the supply chain. We’re inviting South East Development Commission, Mark Okoye , Dr. Cliff Ogbede , and other regional leaders to come see the impactful work we’re doing. We welcome strategic partnerships that can help us scale sustainably and create jobs across the region. The ranch currently sits on 410 plots of land — and we’re only just getting started! But Philip Trammell points out that a Mongolian economist in 1400 might have made the same prediction about today's world: industrialisation will automate the production of yurts and yogurt, so we'll just spend all our money on singers. What the argument misses is that automation doesn't just make existing goods cheaper - it creates whole new categories of goods that we can't easily predict.

Today we’re talking Michigan’s state budget crisis that could force me to lay off over 400 people in my department, with many more workers at risk. My team and I are working on a plan to protect as many jobs as we can, and do our part to offer solutions that can help avoid a shutdown. But what about the cuts this budget will make to the rest of the state in our schools and healthcare options? These are people and programs that keep our state running, and they shouldn’t be held hostage by political games. Tell your legislator: Get it done.

Starting this month, a family of four making less than $230,000 a year will qualify for free child care at hundreds of high quality providers across the city. And by this fall, those earning up to $310,000 a year will receive a 50% subsidy. Our plan also expands opportunities for our students. In partnership with SFUSD, we’re launching a new pilot that allows high school students to earn associate degrees or industry certifications at City College—with a guaranteed transfer to SF State University. This will help them become nurses, police officers, Pre-K teachers, auto technicians, chefs, and more. I thank each of our combat brigades, all soldiers, and commanders who are using all their strength to destroy the enemy, especially by effectively deploying our drone capabilities. Our Ukrainian Defense and Security Forces are already gaining an advantage in this area – in July, our soldiers deployed more drones than the occupiers. This needs to be a steady trend on the front – across all types of drones available to our units: from FPV to all others, including our long-range drones – which are already having a strategic impact on the war. Impacting – in the interests of Ukraine. And our Ukrainian leadership in drones can not only be a factor that brings a just end to the war closer but also makes Ukraine a supplier of security for other states. Today, Mykhailo Fedorov, Vice Prime Minister for Innovations, Development of Education, Science and Technologies, and Oleksandr Kamyshin, Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine, also reported at the Staff meeting on drone production and financing. For this year, a million drones have already been contracted with our manufacturers, and by the end of the year, there will be more. Our drone production capabilities are consistently expanding. We're working not only with state funding but also with partners who are investing in our drone manufacturing. These drones are crucial for our defense now and will later enhance security for everyone who values life and stands with us in solidarity.
