It’s really NOT much more complicated than that. But he didn’t get into throttle management and power settings and flight phenomena like airspeed and translational lift and stuff… but for the basics, yeah, that was pretty accurate. Choppers aren’t really that difficult to fly. They’re difficult to hover and land. They can get into a catastrophic feedback loop of sorts with more and more exaggerated control inputs very quickly in a hover, and that’s the hardest part to learn. And things like vortex states, which have to be recognized and dealt with immediately. I could fly the A-Star or 206 on a heading at altitude and make turns just fine. But I don’t think I’d make a graceful landing. I’d get it down and be able to walk away, but the ship might not be flyable afterwards. 😆

Nah, just get in, move things and see what that particular machine does when it's bits are where they are now. If you want it to do that again, that's where you move the bits. Simple! Just needs an open mind... ...and a good set of ear defenders if you have passengers...😱
