I duplicated my Fuzz brush and followed these instructions ⤵️

CSP has an auto action apparently!

Made a ibispaint version, hopefully this works, I downloaded this program and have never used it

Thats not rim lighting, that's subsurface scattering

Dammit, thank you, i get the terms mixed up

This is actually called subsurface scattering, I’m bad with terms I’m sorry 😭

What brush is that?? :0

Please tell me theres something like this for CSP PLEASEEEE

Someone please teach me how to do this! Do I need a specific brush?

Can I ask what the base brush you used here was, please?

@WistyDoodles It’s the fuzz brush from my sai plus pack, but you can probably just use the regular default air brush

I will look into it, thank you. 🙏

What type of brush do you use for your lineart? Your artwork is so pretty!!

thank you! I usually use the fuzz brush that's part of my sai plus brush pack 🙂

WHAT BRUSH IS THIS I MUST KNOW 👀👀

Amazing!

So THAT'S what it's called! I've been trying to find something like this or replicate it not knowing the proper term you're a life saver 💚💚

The proper term is actually sub surface scattering, i got them mixed up myself lol

Wait. What setting is dis?

It’s in the replies!

Is there an ibis paint version???

is there anything like this for SAI 2 ?

Unfortunately not for SAI, but you can do something similar by shading with a soft brush on a layer, selecting it, make a new layer, clip that new layer, invert the selection, then color in your rim color

Is that brush in CSP?

CSP apparently has an auto action for it, I posted it in the replies :)

Thanks, once im done with body portions practice, coloring n shading next

Hi! Can these types of brushes be made in Photoshop? ^^'

i don't believe you can make brushes like this in photoshop, you'll probably have to make the shadow on its own layer and do stroke -> outline to get this sort of effect i think

Ah okay. :c Thank you! ^^

Ok, but what brush did you use to blend that 😩 It blended so nummy..

It's the sketch brush from my Pencil Texture pack with modified settings-

I try to do it but it doesn't work 🥲

I posted the instructions in my replies in case you didn't see that

Yes, I saw them but the tutorial is terrible, maybe I'll try it later

Here's a video!

Gracias!!

Where's the rim light?

It’s no where because i used the wrong damn term, i meant subsurface scattering!!!

Oooh
