They need to do what Target did for a time. They limited your purchases to 4 of a particular product. No exceptions. And you had to go to a cashier, not the self-checkout. People were MAD! They did that at my local Target back in like 2021 and it worked.

People are going to start getting violent if limits aren't enforced. Check out shouldn't even be possible. There should be strict limits on the self check out machines that don't allow you to scan more than what is allowed. The cameras on the machines can verify it's the same person if they attempt multiple transactions. Not just that, but the people who are suppose to be monitoring the self check out lanes for theft should do their jobs. People who do this should earn a life time ban from the store. If they get caught in the store again they should be subject to immediate arrest for trespassing.
