Common gym mistake/misconception: Using your resistance training to “burn more calories” Let me be very clear… Burning a bunch of calories should NOT be your priority when lifting The objective is to stimulate the muscle groups you’re targeting that day to hopefully build more muscle so you burn (a few) more calories AT REST The only tools you should be using to manipulate near term energy balance are DIET & CARDIO NEVER ADD MORE SETS TO BURN MORE CALORIES!!!
