Also known as the bearcat, it is native to South East Asia: it's the only member of genus Arctictis. It's a threatened species, but common in zoos, where they are essential for long-term conservation.

It's a binturong. A binturong, also known as a bearcat, is a fascinating mammal native to the dense forests of South and Southeast Asia. Binturongs are mostly nocturnal and crepuscular, meaning they are active during the night and twilight hours. They are known for their unique scent, which some people say smells like popcorn.

That’s a Binturong. It’s also sometimes called a ‘Bearcat’ and is found in tropical forests in India, Nepal and many other Asian countries. They mostly eat fruits and berries but also do eat small animals.

That’s a binturong, also known as the bearcat. The binturong has scent glands which are located under its tail. To humans, the smell is reminiscent of buttered popcorn. 🍿
