Strange but wonderful creature of the day - the tiger quoll. Quolls are carnivorous marsupials native to Australia. Tiger quolls are the largest of the quoll family, with males and females weighing 3.5 and 1.8kg on average. They are considered vulnerable.

For those who don’t know: A tiger quoll, thought to have been extinct for 130 years, has been caught in Australia. There have been no records of this predatory marsupial animal since 1880, but it was recently caught in a farmer's trap.

Have you ever seen a wild eastern spotted quoll? They became extinct on the Australian mainland 50 years ago, but they still populate Tasmania.
