You need to have a good education system, and I believe that 👉 Education should not be extremely expensive. 👉 Education should not be fully privatised. There can be private schools and colleges, but there is a role for good-quality government education, and for that, the government has to put money into the budget for education. So that’s the first thing. The second thing is that you have to create an atmosphere where jobs are being generated - not just jobs in the service industry and the IT industry, but also jobs in manufacturing and small and medium industries - so that they can help in the development of the country and young boys and girls can get jobs here. Because without a job, you cannot provide opportunity. So that is what I would do. : LoP Shri Rahul Gandhi 📍Tamil Nadu

This is what it sounds like to talk out of both sides of your mouth: “I am the government, and I give you ‘choice’—but only on my terms.” I will take your tax dollars—money meant for public schools that serve all children—and funnel it into private institutions, that can pick and choose who they accept, and the vendors pockets. I will tell you this is about “parental rights,” but I won’t tell you that many of these private schools aren’t required to follow state special education services. I will say I support small government, but I will micromanage public schools with endless regulations, funding cuts, and state-mandated curriculum changes, while letting private schools take public money with little to no accountability. I will tell you that competition makes education better, but I won’t tell you that when public schools lose funding to private schools, they’re left with fewer resources, larger class sizes, and fewer services for the students who need them most. I will promise you “school choice,” but if you live in a rural area where no private schools exist, or if your child has special needs that private schools won’t accommodate, your “choice” is to stay in a defunded, struggling public school. I’ve said this before and it’s worth repeating! As a former public school teacher, I completely agree that parents need to do whatever they can to remove their kids from public education. Homeschool would be the best route if you can make that work. Did you know that there is absolutely no reason for a school day to last 7 hours?
