Two responsible adults who have their shit together individually will have a much better chance of creating a successful relationship and family household together, because the petty nonsense that comes with irresponsibility/a lack of self-accountability won't be as much of a factor. If you're irresponsible and unreliable on your own, you're only going to bring that into your relationship(s) and burden your spouse with it, which will only hinder progress and happiness.

I think this is fine if you are over the age of 30. It's far too much pressure to put on a man fresh out of college starting his career, which is the best time to get in on the ground level and build a life with a man who has not much else other than drive and potential.

I was dating someone that had a friend sleeping on his couch in a one bedroom apartment without a job talking about dating. They ssked my opinion eyebrow. Me: So do you go to their place after a date or something cuz fhcking on the couch you sleep in is crazy.
