As a consumer, this is none of my business. In fact, more Chinese people should enter this country and sell things at fair prices. Nigerian marketers buy things from China and slap on 300–500% profit margins. This is why they’re crying foul. I want Chinese people in every single business. You guys will learn the hard way.

All this talk is because he’s been denied monopoly and unfair pricing in whatever business he does. It’s people like him that would be buying goods from a factory in Lagos, then turn around and claim imported goods so they can sell it at an exorbitant price and when the company opens a new factory in Kano, they’ll bitch about retailers or smaller dealers getting the chance to expand their business. They always have the same arguments.

That is d job of our govt to protect Nigerian traders from foreigners, they are not allowed by law to do small trade, they can only do big business.

I 100 percent agree with him. And interestingly this is the same thing happening in other part of the country. In truck services related businesses, like spare parts sales and distribution, the Chinese are getting well established in that sector in our local market.

If ur rates are affordable the Chinese won't even bother coming here, but since they're exposing hw y'all are draining ur ppl u want govt to intervene. A country that is looking for prosperity cannot pursue foreign investors. In life u get what u served!

Only govt can interfere and create strict policy on this. Just like how we cant go to china and start retail any how. People saying "i am just consumer thats none of my business" dont know the implications of these things. I can't begin to write all the implications, but if this goes on time will teach us lesson. Yes our merchants with dirty minds are the ones that showed them the way

Nigerians think capitalism when they are industry, but socialism when they are the market. Why can't the marketers team up and start producing, you can't spend over two decades importing and think the market will not mature or saturate.

We all want cheap prices but it has a cost. Nigerians and Nigeria business are excluded in the value chain of businesses or services we don't produce or offer. Gov't need to have regulations to check the excesses of both local businesses & foreign producers for the benefit of all

Valid point/arguement from a socio-economic and politicals angle, though exploitative pricing of local businesses should be checked. Foreigners shouldn't freely operate & dominate the distribution channel or value chain while we only consume. This model kills local businesses.
