This map of the Albanian lands is the latest and last time Albanians made concessions on their lands. Any part of these lands that are not inside the borders of the modern state of Albania are classed as occupied by others, including Kosova. 📌 Historical Background In the Treaty of San Stefano (March 1878) and later the Congress of Berlin (June–July 1878), large parts of Albanian-inhabited lands were promised to neighbouring states (Serbia, Montenegro, and Greece). This alarmed the Albanian population, who saw the danger of their lands being partitioned without their consent. In response, Albanian intellectuals, local leaders, clerics, and notables organised to defend their territorial integrity and political rights. 📍 Formation of the League • Date founded: 10 June 1878 • Place: Prizren, a major Albanian cultural and political centre at the time. • Participants: Delegates from all Albanian regions: Kosovo, Northern Albania, Dibra, Shkodra, Manastir, Janina, and Çamëria. Initially, the League declared loyalty to the Ottoman Empire but demanded autonomy and protection of Albanian territories. Soon after, it took on a more nationalistic character. ⸻ 🎯 Main Goals of the League 1. Defence of Albanian Territories Prevent the partition of Albanian lands among neighbouring Balkan states (Serbia, Montenegro, and Greece). 2. Political and Administrative Autonomy Establish an autonomous Albanian vilayet (province) within the Ottoman Empire, uniting all four main vilayets where Albanians lived: • Vilayet of Shkodra • Vilayet of Kosovo • Vilayet of Manastir • Vilayet of Janina 3. Promotion of National Identity Strengthen Albanian language, culture, and education, though this came more strongly in the later phase. ⸻ ⚔️ The League’s Actions • Military Resistance: Organised armed resistance against Montenegrin and Serbian forces trying to occupy Albanian lands assigned to them by the Great Powers. Famous battles occurred in Plavë and Guci, Ulqin, and other frontier regions. • Political Diplomacy: Sent petitions and delegations to the Ottoman government and to European powers, asking for recognition of Albanian rights. • Shift to National Autonomy: By late 1878–1880, the League went from defending the Ottoman Empire to openly seeking Albanian self-government. ⸻ 🛑 Suppression The League’s growing independence worried the Ottomans. In 1881, the Ottoman army attacked and suppressed the League by force. Leaders were imprisoned, executed, or exiled. ⸻ 🌍 Historical Importance Even though it was crushed, the League of Prizren: • Marked the first organised Albanian national movement. • Brought together different Albanian regions, religions (Muslims, Catholics, and Orthodox), and clans under one political programme. • Prepared the path for the declaration of independence in 1912. ⸻ 👤 Key Figures • Abdyl Frashëri – one of the main ideologists, demanded Albanian autonomy. • Ymer Prizreni – president of the League. • Sylejman Vokshi – military commander. • Ali Pasha Gucia, Haxhi Zeka, and Iljaz Pasha Dibra – important leaders of armed resistance. ⸻ ✅ In short: The Beslidhja e Prizrenit (1878–1881) was a national defence league created to protect Albanian lands from partition and to demand the creation of a modern state of Albanians. ⚔️ The Balkan Wars: Official Narrative 🛑 Key Historical Outcome •For Albanians, it marked the greatest loss of territory: •Out of the lands inhabited by Albanians, only about 40% remained inside the new state of Albania, while 60% were annexed by neighbors. •This is why many Albanians see the wars as a war against them, not just against the Ottoman Empire. ⸻ ✅ In short: The Balkan Wars (1912–1913) were officially framed as a fight against the Ottomans, but in reality, they were a war to divide Albanian lands. While Albanians declared independence to save themselves, most of their territory and people were left outside Albania’s borders — a wound that has never fully healed.

‘’ The Realities of Modern Greece 🇬🇷 Modern Greece is not the direct continuation of ancient Greek civilization. It is an artificial buffer state created in the 19th century by the Great Powers (mainly Britain, Russia, and France) against the Ottoman Empire through political engineering. The blue color of the Greek flag comes from the first king, Otto, a Bavarian prince. The shade was chosen to reflect Bavarian blue. Some claim the striped design resembles the British East India Company flag. The modern Greek alphabet and language were largely “revived” in the 19th century as part of nation-building. Ancient Greek had been a dead language for centuries, and the current form (Demotiki) was shaped artificially to create national identity. Many key heroes of the 1821 Greek War of Independence, such as Markos Botsaris and Theodoros Kolokotronis, were Arvanites Orthodox Albanians. Their ethnic origin is largely Albanian, not ancient Greek. The people of modern Greece have no direct ethnic or genetic connection to the ancient Greeks. The population is a mix of Turks (especially Karamanlides from Anatolia), Albanians, Slavs, Macedonians, and other Balkan groups. Greece was established in 1830 by the Great Powers as a buffer zone against the Ottomans. Its first king was a foreigner (Bavarian Otto), and the state was built according to foreign geopolitical interests rather than organic historical continuity. Modern Greece romantically claims ancient Hellenic heritage, but in reality it is a 19th-century construction an ethnic mosaic of Albanians, Slavs, Christian Turks, and other Balkan peoples shaped by political engineering, not historical descent. 🚨BALKANS TENSION EXPLODES: ALBANIAN POLITICIAN THACI ACCUSES NORTH MACEDONIA’S SLAVIC GOVERNMENT OF “ANTI-ALBANIAN POLICY” — THREATENING ANOTHER CONFLICT? 🇲🇰⚠️🇦🇱 North Macedonia is a small Slavic country in the Balkans (Southeast Europe), with ethnic Macedonians (Slavs) as the clear majority. It has a large Albanian minority (about 25%, mostly in the west) that gained massive rights after the 2001 Albanian armed uprising. Albanian parties have been in coalition governments for years, often pushing for more power, official language use everywhere, and faster EU integration. Now, prominent Albanian politician Thaci (DPA party) openly claims that for two years the government of ethnic Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski (VMRO-DPMNE) has been running a “sophisticated anti-Albanian policy” — more hidden than in the Milosevic era. Thaci accuses Mickoski of: •Humiliating Albanian coalition partners (VLEN) in public and blocking their appointments unless they get his personal “blessing”. •Economic discrimination against Albanians (horizontal and vertical). •Slowing down EU integration, which Albanians see as their main goal. •Overall betrayal of the “two peoples” governance model. He even calls the current Albanian VLEN alliance “DUI 2.0” and admits past Albanian parties failed their own people. This is the same dangerous script we’ve seen before. After the 2001 Albanian insurgency gave them enormous concessions in a Slavic country, Albanian elites now scream “anti-Albanian policy” and “humiliation” the moment Macedonians try to govern their own state, control key appointments, and stop endless further Albanization. North Macedonia belongs to the Macedonian people first. Albanians already have far-reaching minority rights that many Europeans can only dream of. Yet any resistance to demographic pressure, parallel societies, or turning the country into a bi-national state is immediately labeled discrimination — rhetoric that led to war in 2001. If this continues, the consequences are clear: either Slavic Macedonians lose control of their own homeland, or tensions boil over again. We Slavs say enough. Slavic nations have the right to preserve their identity and sovereignty without constant blackmail. Sovereignty first. Macedonian Macedonia first. No more yielding Slavic land in the Balkans.

Kosova (the ancient Dardania) has always been and remains land of the Albanians; only the Serbs deny this. Their continuous propaganda regarding a fabricated history is passed down through generations to Serbian youth. They know the truth but persist in weaving lies. It is well-known that Kosova was occupied by the Serbs, who appropriated all Albanian properties and claimed them as their own. This is understandable, as they have no other way to assert their supposed autochthonous status in these Albanian lands. They took everything and changed names of places and monuments, falsifying history. However, there are some, like Nenad Canak, a Serbian politician from Vojvodina, who speak the truth. In a video, he declares that the monasteries were not Serbian. His statement visibly annoys the host, who resorts to propaganda as a typical Serbian tactic. Below, you can see the Albanian population at the monastery before the Serbs altered history. It is truly heartbreaking to witness how much suffering our people have endured under various regimes over the centuries. Therefore, we must not allow our suffering to be forgotten, nor should we permit the history of our nation to be changed. Kosova is Dardania, and we are her sons and daughters. 🇽🇰🇦🇱🇽🇰🇦🇱🇽🇰🇦🇱🇽🇰🇦🇱🇽🇰🇦🇱🇽🇰🇦🇱 #Kosova #HistoryMatters #Monasteries #SpeakTheTruth #NenadCanak #SerbianPropaganda #Lies Vjosa Osmani

In this video, the historic President of the Republic of Kosovo, Ibrahim Rugova, explains that the name "Kosovo" ("Kosmet"), used by the Yugoslav regime, aims to create a false history where the Serbs claim that this territory belonged to them. Rugova emphasizes that the true name of this region has historically been Dardania, a name that reflects the true identity and heritage of Kosovo, belonging to the Albanians, the only indigenous people of these lands. It should also be noted that the Serbs came to these lands from the Carpathian region, challenging the indigenous people who had lived in these territories for centuries, relying on a falsified history of Serbia. Over the centuries, they have tried to eliminate the documentation and facts of the Albanian people, even appropriating their monuments, which served as irrefutable evidence to validate Albanian history. This was done with the aim of making their propaganda work, a propaganda that often contradicts itself. Such a falsified history is proof of a mentality that seeks to deny the truth and impose a foreign narrative. People who appropriate the history of another nation have no love for their own heritage, and this is, undoubtedly, a tragic reality. RKS is the Kingdom of Dardania and nobody can take it from us again.🇽🇰🇦🇱 #IbrahimRugova #FormerPresident #Kosova #Dardania #Albanians Vjosa Osmani Albin Kurti U.S. Embassy Pristina UNDP Kosovo EULEX Kosovo Official account of the U.S. Ambassador to Kosovo Doris Pack Alicia Kearns MP German Embassy Pristina
