This past 8 years has been the wildest chapter in my career thus far by a long shot.. Each Wednesday album is like a little window into where both myself and the world around us were at during that moment in time. Through the process we learned together. We grew together. We agreed, disagreed, and (hopefully) found a way to respect our differences.. And most importantly, we had a lot of fun. I’ve never worked harder on anything in my life than Last Wednesday. It is, without a doubt IMO, the single greatest body of work I’ve ever created over the course of my 15 year career. I don’t ask yall for all that much.. I’m not one to try to force my fans into buying my music so it charts on billboard or racks up crazy views” counts to brag about. I don’t care about all that. All I ask is that you listen to this thing front to back (as it’s intended to be listened to) and spread the word so others hear it too. I make music to be listened to and appreciated. That’s the legacy I’ve ultimately been chasing this whole time, and so that’s all I ask of you now.. Go bump the hell outta Last Wednesday and ENJOY THE MUSIC !! Cheers. What's Missing From This Solar Eclipse? 🌞🌖 Have you ever stopped to think that when you see a solar eclipse, you never see the moon before or after the eclipse? Most people don't. What we see is a black circle appearing out of nowhere and moving across the face of the sun. The point being, a solar eclipse is not what they taught you in school. Nobody knows exactly what it is, but without a doubt, it's not the moon blocking out the sun.

Tonight, a total solar eclipse will cross parts of Europe. I’m also very happy to see my project featured in Datawrapper’s Dispatch, alongside wonderful work from Reuters and The New York Times — teams whose work I’ve admired for years. It’s a real honor to be in such company. Over the past few days, I’ve made a lot of improvements to my Solar Eclipse Atlas. I’m especially grateful to Ernie Wright, a lead visualization specialist at NASA, who took the time to review the project and suggest a small but important improvement. I’ve already implemented it, making the visualization of eclipse paths more accurate. I’ve also added a new feature to the city view. You can now hover over any eclipse and see how it actually unfolded in the sky: how the Moon moved across the Sun, or how it will move during a future eclipse. So for any city, you can now simulate any solar eclipse from 2000 BCE to 3000 CE and see what it looked like from that exact place on Earth. #eclipse #sun

“Unchained Melody” has always been one of those songs that just touches the soul. As far as I’m concerned, it’s one of the most beautiful songs ever written. To record it as a duet with josh groban was such a special moment for me. What a joy it’s been creating this together, and I’m so excited we’ll be performing it live this summer! Farewell to International Space Station! This is truly a special place, special mission, and special team that makes it happen. It is a bittersweet departure today – I have a keen awareness that I may never be back here, and even if I was, it would be at a different time with a different crew. This chapter is over. Spaceflight has always been a life goal, and it has turned into a life-fulfilling endeavor – but not for the reasons I thought growing up. When I was young, I pictured the launch, the incredible ball of fire and the acceleration, the spacewalks (how could you not wonder what it’s like to be in that suit?), and I was fascinated by the shuttles, capsules, and stations. But as I complete this second mission living and working in space, what draws me to this job is the people. Experiences like this are amazing, but the relationships we build that make it possible are the “why.” Every day, this mission depends on people from all over the world, of different nationalities, races, religions, and cultures. It depends on government and commercial entities, it depends on all political parties, and it depends on commitment to an unchanged goal over many years and decades. It depends on people dedicated to being part of something bigger than themselves, whose names may never be known but who wake up every day to make the world a better place and to be part of something they will be proud to tell their grandkids about. History will look kindly upon them. Humans have always had a propensity to explore … across lands and oceans, up mountains, and into the sky. We as a species will never stop wondering what else is out there, and what it would be like to go. But then, in the words of TS Elliot, “…at the end of all our exploring, will be to arrive where we started, and know the place for the first time.” Crew-10 is on its way home.
