It’s a high rise building probably done to prevent risk of someone falling out, especially kids. Also to control room temperature in cold climates.

What do you need ventilation for when there's constant power supply and air-conditioner in place? Do you know how cold it gets there? In such extreme weather conditions you'd pray to be canned even. It's a high rise building and safety precautions plus weather conditions are factored in.

When person fall from their now ,they will now sue the owner for negligence

So that una no go kill una sev with suicide

It’s a renovation building….. no be for this house you go jump down

You go another person country dey complain e b like say u won come back naija follow for the suffer abi.

They believed whoever the occupants would be may not cherished natural air that much to want so much ventilation, when money for pos Air Conditioning techs are available but the down effect is cancer and lots of bad health conditions that can arise over time from such unnatural atmospheric conditioning of a home or office.

I see why the natives actually hate immigrants! Like in Intercontinental hotel in VI is it not the same??! Just because dem wan on camera to show they’re in the UK they can do “the opening of an enevlope” fuckin lower class cunts!

That should be UK because the house is meant to preserve heat since their weather is always cold. The recent heatwave will force them to modify the design

I guess as a safety precaution, the occupant might be suicidal.

My dear come back to Nigeria and enjoy as many open 👐 windows as you like

Fresh air or blistering cold air? Better wear your jacket plus hand gloves and go for a walk if you want air.

She obviously traveled with her Nigerian mindset. She was expecting to farm ugu somewhere in her backyard.

There was an extractor, 24/7 power supply for air conditioning, 24/7 water and gas supply, cleanness environment, building was designed so occupants be okay in extreme weather conditions, windows extension blocked for safety lol

It’s not a window, it’s a fixed glass !! It’s most likely an high rise building, and with the pressure at that altitude You don’t want to create an opening. Think abt why Airplane windows aren’t openable as well, and just fixed glass boxes.

From the height of this house to the ground, it’s common sense to know that’s a safety measure to avoid accidents. With assured constant light, AC will keep the house cool at all times.

Madam that’s a high rise building Shut up why do u know about construction 🚧 Have u diedd 😂😂😂😂

Double Glazing You’re African Suicidal thoughts is strange to you Suicidal thoughts is common to them Want breeze? Take a walk Want more breeze? Dey come Lagos You’re not suffocating You’re alive Enjoy the UK 🇬🇧 madam

It’s for safety purposes… Also with d constant light and AC the air will be ok too! Sha remember to sleep for atleast 8hrs everyday😌

You think it is Nigeria where you will just buy cement, hire bricklayers and start building house without permit, regulations and council clearance? lol. White People don't do that. This culture shock for the lady. She will find out later why that building is like that. lool.

This is a seal tight or airtight building. It saves energy and money. It has a steady room temperature for both winter and summer. That building cannot be rented out without document F approval for ventilation. Either it has an MVHR or trickle vent. This is (Sustainable Energy)

There’s something called HvAC (heating, ventilation and Air conditioner) known as DUCT which supplies and extracts air in the building. Windows in high rise houses weren’t fixed to open for safety reasons and cold weather. There’s a grille in dat room that supplies/extracts air

This is called double glazing, to prevent sound or noise from interfering, its used where an apartment is close to the road or noisy environment

She’s new in the UK. Wait, by January you will understand. 😂😂

You no inspect before you move there?

HVAC & Energy Efficiency - High-rises use centralized air conditioning and ventilation. If windows opened, the system would constantly fight hot air, cold air, and humidity coming in

First of all, I believe those windows were sealed to prevent the high rate of suicides prevalent in the UK. They don't want anyone leaping to their death from that height. And by the way, didn't you notice there were no windows before you decided to take up the lease?

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 It's always good to leave the shore of Nigeria to learn more about safety

No extractor? Why didn’t you show us the whole top of the room. Cos I saw an air vent in the hall way. Typical Nigerians and their present continuous filled English.

From y POV it's to avoid suicide from dropping from that height so accept it that way or move to a new apartment that have ventilation

U go con stay my room for Nigeria make I stay for ur own room there My own room window is always open 24/7

Chai, it's nice to travel and most importantly to be curious enough to also find answers to your questions. Except if she's just farming engagement, a quickly Google or AI chat would have given her an answer to her curiosity and better still, probably let them know they can actually open the fixed windows which are just placed for safety 🥲

Dem no say depression is real and people dey quick conclude to commit su!cide , dem no want make people dey jump from dere to kpai themselves

Aside the toilet sha... For not creating space for window opening, it's intentional and there must be a tangible reason for that.... That one could choke before of that? Nah I don't think so Take our banking hall for example... I never see bank way open window before yet they attend to hundreds of customers daily without anybody choking

This is not civilization. This is very bad for human health. We are not in spaces. Government needs to question the engineers that build the house
