Nothing. It’s a nonsensical cartoon. Why would anyone step onto a crocodile that they know is a crocodile just to prove that it’s a crocodile? If the cartoon had a landmine, and one knew it was a landmine but the other kept saying it was a garbage can lid, would anyone step onto the landmine just to prove it? The more poignant cartoon is the one where instead of falling down a crevice, one stops and puts a board across it to walk across it. Only to have the next person kick the board away in anger and fall into the hole.
