They were paid upfront by the soldiers that died for the cause. What’s the long term impact of not having those 595k people comtributing to generations of productivity in this country?

Always remind them that they didn't free themselves. Field soaked red for their freedom, any debt that is imagined has been paid by the blood of the innocent.

100% Spot On. I stand on the shoulders of giants that came before me, who suffered the unthinkable, and achieved the undreamable, so that I can have what I have today, and I can give my son more. There is nothing owed that hasn't been paid, there is no need to give anything other than standing out of the way

I grew up being proud that America ended slavery and proud that we had the Civil Rights Movement. No one is proud of anything America has accomplished. Children are only taught about the bad things, not about how we’ve overcome those things.

My gosh, how I love this man. From the first moment I heard him speak at his local county council meeting. I’m a fan!

I think he's right but it doesn't matter, because reparations are not about reparations.

He’s right. We all owe a debt to those who paved the way for us to live the comfortable lives we currently live.
