i am a little saddened to see the ombre of the yellow removed, im sure that'd be hard to do en masse

It wasn't the gradient that was the issue, it was more of the colors. To get a nicer gradient it'd have to be quite tall, so the yellow would be too far down. Without making it tall then it just looks like a yellow stripe

I like it, but I think you should do these videos in different lighting or a different camera; the colors can feel washed out and might not represent real life as well.
