At my company they just make excuses for why shit went sideways.

You know when you give a kid a game controller without batteries and they think their playing? It's like that.

They yell at people. (This is only slightly wrong...)

When software programmers mess up, customers yell at us. Then we explain what the customers said to the programers and get yelled at again. Whoops! You said wrong answers!

Keep the objectives of the project hidden so that no one else can become the project manager.

As a former PM, it was my job to see to it that we were always 'almost' finished but there were a few more "benchmarks" to complete yet. And with careful paper shuffling and frowning, you look busy as hell.
