What does climate risk have to do with U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission?

I was pleased to support today’s @SECGov rules to mandate climate risk disclosures because it would provide investors with consistent, comparable, decision-useful info, & issuers with clear reporting requirements. My statement:

@SECGov You think you have authority to regulate whatever you want, and the country is against that. You don't seem to get what a political liability you've become.
