WHAT DOES MAI SEE IN HIM?? 😭

kinda unrelated but i hope there's more focus on him working on his studies with mai for their future at university , I really liked that aspect of their relationship but it's been put to the side

He saw Mai when she was at her most vulnerable and did everything in his power to help her instead of attempting to take advantage of her. He empathized with her feelings and, despite his attitude, he is very loyal and in love with Mai, and he would go to great lengths for her. He is also exceedingly kind. The consideration he shows for his sister is truly heartwarming, and the way he helped Futaba shows what a loyal friend he is. And while he might be lecherous, Sakuta also knows his limits. I also think Mai knows that Sakuta is secretly hurting inside. His sarcasm and weirdness are a shield to protect himself from the pain he has been through. Mai both loves and admires these sides of him, and imo I am pretty sure she loves him for both his weirdness and his kindness.
