The Talmud is a non-divine, historical book of law... It is quite literally a giant Reddit thread of Rabbis arguing about the Torah over 1,400 years ago... There will be shit takes, and they get refuted all over. --- The Talmud is 73 volumes long. It is originally in Aramaic (dead language) and Hebrew (revived language). That is how old it is. It is history. --- In John 10:22, Jesus celebrates Hanukkah—a holiday whose tradition is described only through the Talmud. This means the Talmud is necessary in order to live the life of Jesus. He was a Talmudic Jew by definition.
