What genius rust repair

I'm suddenly an expert after watching this 3 and a half minute video

Didn't even begin to repair any rust. Basically just hid it.

No repair for rust. Cut out old rust completely. Weld a new piece of metal in and start from there.

This will look decent just long enough to sell it. Maybe not even that long.

Is the paint job going to match the rest of the car though?

Doesn’t work like that. Needs to be completely cut out w new metal welded in since the rust exists on both sides, guys. You will start to see outlines of the holes/cuts and rust will start to form around it. You will regret this unless you are selling it fast(which makes you an asshole…). Fiberglass or Bondo alone will not work more than 5-6 months before noticing a difference. Trust me guys, been there, Done That. It’s honestly a waste of hard work and material down the road.

Peoppe will talk shlt about this but will drive around with rusted out panels 🤣.. It might be a permanent fix but it works great for a quick temporary fix.. Did his 3 years ago to a old truck I had & it held up great .. unless you were 2 inches feom it lookong youd never know ..

Polyurethane foam retains water. This will accelerate rust. Cool story though

With my wealth of knowledge and tic toks....I wonder if I could do this with simple ramen and super glue? Lol

Shitty repair, the rust will come back next year. You have to cut the infected area out and weld new metal.

No colour blend into surrounding panels, no proper fade out and didn't even go into a swage line? Gonna peel back and look like arse
