If Alberta were an independent country, it would: • have more land than most nations on earth • have more farmland than the large majority of countries • have a population larger than nearly half the countries in the world • rank among the most resource-rich jurisdictions on the planet • have a GDP larger than most countries • have a GDP per capita in the global top tier • have lower crime and higher education levels than most of the world. We would be a serious country. Instead we are expected to stay quiet, keep writing the cheques, and smile when a Quebec finance minister flies in and says “unity.” Tell us why a Western vote is worth less. Tell us why the Senate still looks like 1867. Tell us why three Supreme Court seats are locked for Quebec with 9 million people and two Justices to represent the nearly 14 million people in the West. Tell us why hundreds of billions leaving Alberta is “building Canada together.” It isn’t. It’s the same deal it has always been — until we stop accepting it.

Clarity, conviction, fight for working folks, working families, real solutions to real problems. And and all those things are connected. Democratize our economy. On November 7th, the UCP launched a lawsuit against me, MLA Sinclair, and the Alberta Party. Albertans deserve to hear what this case is - and what it isn’t. Because it isn’t about trademarks or party names. And it isn’t about justice. This is about intimidation - and it fits a pattern. The UCP use threats to silence anyone who challenges them. They claim I was removed from caucus due to misconduct. The truth is: I raised concerns about potential corruption and pushed for transparency. I wasn’t removed for misconduct - I was removed because I refused to participate in it. The lawsuit itself is littered with errors. One especially odd claim is the allegation of a “conspiracy.” And the irony is hard to miss: a party known for chasing conspiracies is now trying to convince Albertans that everyone else is part of one. This government has a credibility problem - and it shows when they use baseless accusations to distract from their failures. Their trademark argument is weak. More importantly, the UCP let the PC name lapse - and in 2023 a private citizen legally registered it. If anyone “lost” the name, it was the UCP - through their own negligence. But they never accept responsibility. They blame anyone but themselves. This lawsuit is about fear - fear of competition and fear of a conservative movement they can’t control. On November 7th, the UCP launched a lawsuit against me, MLA Sinclair, and the Alberta Party. Albertans deserve to hear what this case is - and what it isn’t. Because it isn’t about trademarks or party names. And it isn’t about justice. This is about intimidation - and it fits a pattern. The UCP use threats to silence anyone who challenges them. They claim I was removed from caucus due to misconduct. The truth is: I raised concerns about potential corruption and pushed for transparency. I wasn’t removed for misconduct - I was removed because I refused to participate in it. The lawsuit itself is littered with errors. One especially odd claim is the allegation of a “conspiracy.” And the irony is hard to miss: a party known for chasing conspiracies is now trying to convince Albertans that everyone else is part of one. This government has a credibility problem - and it shows when they use baseless accusations to distract from their failures. Their trademark argument is weak. More importantly, the UCP let the PC name lapse - and in 2023 a private citizen legally registered it. If anyone “lost” the name, it was the UCP - through their own negligence. But they never accept responsibility. They blame anyone but themselves. This lawsuit is about fear - fear of competition and fear of a conservative movement they can’t control.
