What we put on a test is what we seek to exemplify and elevate—and what we deliberately exclude from a test says more about us than any test ever could. It’s tragic that the SAT has chosen to purge the Constitution and Bill of Rights from its exam. Young Americans deserve a standardized test that treats our founding documents as essential. Proud to speak this week to the incredible team at the Classic Learning Test (CLT) during their company-wide Zoom call. They’ve built the fastest-growing standardized test in America, taking the SAT head-on.

The Classic Learning Test is the standard for academic excellence and our service academies should accept nothing less. I’m proud to have secured an amendment in this year's NDAA requiring our service academies to accept the CLT as an admissions option. The SAT and ACT shouldn't have a monopoly over college admissions. Real America's Voice (RAV) | Jack Posobiec | Human Events

If you can't do this in your golf swing you are going to struggle. The Pelvic Tilt Test is a little goofy but it is critical to having a great golf swing. I break down how to test yourself and why it is important.

Small changes, big impacts in the classroom part 1: Test Talk. For the first 5 minutes of a test, students put their writing utensils on the ground, I hand out the test, and students talk to each other about the test. Many have mentioned how much this lowers their test anxiety.

It is now the norm to go from kindergarten to PhD without reading a single word of Homer, Plato, Augustine, or Dante. This is how you erase a culture, and it's working. That's why we started an independent group dedicated to the study and preservation of the Western canon of literature — the books that built our civilization. To preserve a culture, you must continually study the books and ideas that created it. If the schools and universities won't teach the great texts of Western Civilization, we will do it ourselves. If this sounds like something you'd like to be part of, please join. We read a new classic together every month, and meet biweekly to discuss. To support our efforts, please consider a paid subscription. It makes a huge difference to the time and resources we can dedicate to this. We are funded ENTIRELY by the members of this community who wish to keep our efforts going. Paid members get: - Live book club discussions (biweekly) - Essays to guide you through the books we're reading - The full archive of discussions and essays - Access to the community chat room - Ability to vote on what we read next Join us!

REMEMBER: once your culture is gone, it isn't coming back. Government education has failed to teach the Great Books of the West for decades. Deliberately failed. That's why we started an independent group to study the Western canon, together. We're reading the books that form the mind and shape the spirit — the books our ancestors read. It is essential that we continue the Great Conversation of the West. Homer, Plato, Aristotle, Augustine, Dante, Shakespeare, and Milton are not just names in a syllabus, but guides to a more beautiful life. Join our group and study the great works alongside us. We read a new classic every 4-6 weeks, and meet biweekly to discuss. We are just about to start Augustine's City of God. This is a foundational work. Possibly the greatest work of Christian philosophy. You do not want to miss this. Take out a paid subscription if you'd like to support our mission and join the discussions directly — it makes a huge difference to the time and resources we can dedicate. You'll get: - Live book club discussions (biweekly) - Essays to guide you through the Great Books - Access to our incredible community chat - All past recordings, essays, and podcasts - Ability to vote on what we read next... See you inside!

I joined CNN to discuss why Lebanon has become the key test for U.S.-Iran diplomacy. The MOU was designed as a trial run to build confidence and test intentions. If the fighting in Lebanon continues, it could derail prospects for a broader deal altogether.

Indians love to brag about their SAT scores (on tests taken in cheat-friendly circumstances) and their academic degrees (an MD can be purchased in India for less than $1,000), but what happens when Indian students are given an academic test on which they can NOT cheat? Check out the ONE AND ONLY TIME India participated in the international PISA academic testing (it was pretty ugly):

Beautiful ❤️ Students of Veritas Classical Academy in Savannah, Georgia, sing 'Great is Your Faithfulness' before starting class in the morning. Recently, one of its students was named a 2023 Regional Scholar by the Classic Learning Test for her outstanding performance on the CLT10, a college preparatory exam and SAT alternative that was launched a few years ago by Jeremy Wayne Tate. Last year, the reading level of 4th-grade students in Georgia who performed at or above the National Assessment of Educational Progress Proficient level was only 39%. Although the state legislature failed to pass a school choice bill this year, there is hope that the bill will receive approval next year, as Governor Brian Kemp has expressed his support for private school vouchers. This would provide parents in the state with the choice to send their children to well-performing Classical private schools, including Veritas Academy.
