Yesterday I was found to have “incited hatred”. I walked out of that decision disturbed not just for myself, but for what it means for freedom of political speech in Australia. This was never about attacking a religion. It was about political advocacy, about speaking out against injustice, and about a movement built on peace, equality and humanity. If political criticism can be redefined as hate depending on who interprets it, then every protest movement in this country should be paying attention. I will be appealing. Not because this is about me alone, but because the precedent this creates affects everyone who believes in the right to speak out. I have already spent over $200,000 defending legal battles connected to my advocacy. The fight continues, and I cannot do it alone. Betting on who I believe is the greatest entrepreneur of our generation set me financially free at 31. My story started long before that. I joined Apple at 22. From the outside, people thought I had it made. It was a great company, awesome benefits, and I had a clear path ahead of me. Nothing was “wrong.” I was on the path everyone tells you that you’re supposed to want… but deep down, I knew it wasn’t the life I wanted forever. I was way more excited about investing. Building things on my own. Trying ideas that could completely fail. Learning about businesses. Studying where technology was going. Putting my own $ money behind what I believed in. And eventually, I became obsessed with Tesla and what Elon was building. The team’s willingness to take risks most people wouldn’t touch. Electric cars when people laughed at them. Reusable rockets when people said it couldn’t be done. Then AI, robots, autonomy and everything that came after. So I made a bet… there was significant risk. I didn’t know exactly what would happen. No one really ever truly does. I made the bet bc I believed the upside of being right was far greater than the downside of being wrong. And that decision changed my life. By 31, I had reached financial freedom. But strangely enough, the $ wasn’t even the biggest thing I gained. It was freedom over my time. It was the freedom to leave a career that looked perfect on paper. Freedom to be with my kids. Freedom to build things bc I wanted to build them. Freedom to wake up and work on me instead of somebody else’s dream. That’s why I always tell people… There’s nothing wrong with having a great job. There’s nothing wrong with climbing the corporate ladder. But make sure the ladder is leaning against a wall you actually want to climb. Apple gave me an incredible start. Investing changed my financial life. And Teslaconomics gave me something I was missing the entire time… which is something that actually felt like mine. And 𝕏 is the platform that enabled this. I’m forever grateful for where I am today and everyone that has supported me along the way.

🩷 : I bought a self-improvement book about how to get better at talking to people. I’m really not good at making conversation, especially with people I’m not close to. The version of me around my friends and my fans is exactly the same, but when I’m around other people, I’m actually not very good at making conversation. I was talking with my friends about a conversation I had with a celebrity I follow on social media, even though we’re not close. My friend was like, “Why didn’t you keep the conversation going?” and I replied, “Wait, really? I supposed to do that right?” It probably makes me seem stuck-up, but honestly, I’m just scared. I keep worrying, “What if they don’t want to talk to me?” So I don’t dare to start a conversation or say too much. But my friend told me, 'Just go for it! You never know if they want to talk to you or not. Sure, it might feel a little awkward or funny if it turns out they don't want to talk with you, but that's how you get closer to people.' I started working at Apple when I was 23 years old and spent ~8 years there. I learned a lot, but deep down, I hated the idea that this was just how life was supposed to be… work at a desk until I’m 65, retire, and then finally have the time to actually live before I die. Today, thanks to Starlink and 𝕏, my life looks completely different vs others. It’s a dream for many, but a reality for me. I can go anywhere in the world - even sit next to a waterfall like this - with internet beamed down to me from space and the ability to instantly share my thoughts with millions of people. I can work. I can create. I can invest in the companies and technologies I believe will change the world. And most importantly, I can do it all while actually living my life and spending my time the way I choose. That kind of freedom is priceless to me. A lot of people often talk about technology in terms of speed, $, or convenience… but I think one of the greatest things technology can give us is freedom… the freedom to work from anywhere, create from anywhere, and build a life that doesn’t have to wait until retirement. Starlink has completely changed what “anywhere” means for me. And the wild thing is, when I close my eyes and think about the life I always dreamed of living in the future… I realize I’m living it right now.
