Great interview @natbrunell. It was nice to hear @clay_garrett in-depth. The more we can listen and understand, the more trust we'll put in the device. I have a @Bitkey and love it (thanks @JoelBomgar). Yet I can see why certain Bitcoin Maxi's wouldn't find this a pure self-custody play. It's not meant to be. We're trading pure trustlessness for convenience. And that's ok. It's smart to have different solutions protecting different amounts. It's the only way to reduce fragility. Single points of failure are susceptible to human error (just like trust is susceptible to thievery) and it takes great responsibility to protect ourselves. Be safe out there.

That list mixes up who makes the software with who holds the keys. Bitkey uses three keys, and any two can move the bitcoin: one on your phone, one that stays on the device, and one on Block’s server. Block built the app but they don't have a copy of your phone key or your device key. And their one server key can't move funds by itself.
