He’s done that repeatedly this tournament. Really weird. It’s like he is trying to go for the intercept but with the foot as it won’t be a yellow.

He’s successfully blocked passes throughout the year with his feet. Very clever when it pays off, but looks ridiculous otherwise.

Ask yourself this, did the Italian player make any attempt at a legal tackle here or did he just dive in knees first to stop a certain try??

As strong in attack as weak in defence

It actually makes sense to do this if you're shooting out of the line. If the ball hits his legs, he's in no risk of a penalty and will score a try if he collects. If he goes with his hands it's at least a scrum if he doesn't gather.
