What is the difference between John Fetterman having a speaking disability and Greg Abbott having a walking disability? Neither should disqualify them from holding office. Both men have disabilities that don’t stop them from thinking clearly. Aphasia, which Fetterman suffers from, doesn't affect intelligence. Stroke survivors remain mentally alert,...

You’re asking the difference between a physical impairment and a mental impairment. A senators job is to be an effective communicator and come up with solutions that solve problems for Americans. Not being able to walk does not limit that ability, not being able to read or speak does.

There is no evidence whatsoever that he can't come up with solutions to solve problems. It's the transfer of ideas into spoken words that he has trouble with. If voters don't like it they can vote him out next term. Not being able to walk limits your ability to walk. Not being able to speak clearly limits your ability to speak clearly. That's all.

Mental and physical capabilities can’t be compared equally. They are different. It should be said that any incapability that effects your ability to do your job should be taken to task and assessed on if it impacts your effectiveness to do your job!

Hmmm it’s almost like a severe brain injury effects your ability to govern more than being paralyzed 😂

Meanwhile, @krassenstein was just railing about the age of Feinstein and McConnell 🫣

I don't think Feinstein is thinking correctly. Several factors would point in that direction. I think the jury is out on Mitch. I think it's obvious that someone who has dementia or who can't think correctly should not be serving in government. I don't think that's the case with Fetterman.

There’s a huge difference between lacking the ability to walk and lacking the ability to fundamentally articulate oneself to their constituents. Fetterman has a bigger shoe size than IQ.

I don't think Fetterman thinks clearly. Plus being a good senator requires debate. If you can't articulate your position then you aren't going to be very effective at your job. Fetterman, McConnel, Biden, and Feinstein should all retire.

What makes you think he doesn't think clearly? I have not seen any evidence of that.
