A fantastic explanation. I find that after I get an idea, I need to let it stew in my head for a few days. I don’t focus on it too long but it’s still stewing. I usually wake up in the middle of the third night with the answer. Amazing how the mind works.

Excellent. I think this is true for creativity in technology as well. All too often people simply follow "best" patterns and practices blindly while expecting somehow this will generate innovation when it is the most certain way not to.
