Russia’s shadow fleet just lost a port. Ukraine’s Azov Corps, SBU, and SBS struck Mariupol’s maritime trade port in a joint operation. Another giant humanoid robot is already performing high-altitude, high-risk tasks. Last August, West Japan Railway Company deployed it for railway maintenance, assisting humans with tasks such as pruning tree branches, inspecting power lines, and painting along the railway lines. It was developed in 2022 in collaboration between robotics technology developer Jinki Ittai Co. and IT and electrical infrastructure company Nippon Signal Co. With a sci-fi anime-like appearance, it is enormous yet flexible, and its end effectors are replaceable. As you can see in the video, it is remotely controlled by a human operator in a cockpit, wearing a VR headset to precisely control the robot's movements. At AI Summit 2026 India, I spoke about why the GPU challenge is not just a ‘supply chain issue’ but a ‘sovereignty issue’. In the AI century, power will rest with those who control chips, compute capacity and data centres. Today, design monopolies, manufacturing concentration and export controls determine who gets access. India controls none of these critical levers. We have the talent. We have the ambition. We have the intent. We have the capital. But talent without compute is aspiration. And compute without sovereignty is dependence. The role of policymakers is not to slow AI down; it is to remove bottlenecks, diversify access, set clear national targets, and build sovereign AI infrastructure in India. This is not partisan. If anyone ever wondered why its a really bad idea to live close to an Electrical Power Substation: Im around 200 m (0.1 miles) away and the electric field is fine but you get a 115 nT magnetic field even at that distance (thats a shitload) Real issue would be living anywhere close to this thing And I def wouldnt be grounding around that thing for the life of me

By mentioning the Thucydides trap, Xi Jinping is signaling that China is the new leader of the free world and what’s remarkable is, unlike the U.S., China achieved this without dropping bombs, waging endless wars, or spending $1 trillion a year on its military. Instead China became the leader of the free world by investing in its people with housing, education, health care, and the best modern infrastructure in the world, and investing in its neighbor countries through its Belt and Road Initiative, which has funded ports, railways, and energy networks across the Global South. The US became a “superpower” through endless wars, corruption, and selling out its own people to the billionaire class while China became a superpower and surpassed the US by building trade and relations with the world and investing in its people instead of wars. Americans would be wise to take note and then change our corrupt government.

Instead China became the leader of the free world by investing in its people with housing, education, health care, and the best modern infrastructure in the world, and investing in its neighbor countries through its Belt and Road Initiative, which has funded ports, railways, and energy networks across the Global South. The US became a “superpower” through endless wars, corruption, and selling out its own people to the billionaire class while China became a superpower and surpassed the US by building trade and relations with the world and investing in its people instead of wars. Americans would be wise to take note and then change our corrupt government.
