Besides winds forecast to be cat 4/5 intensity (perhaps over 155 mph at the surface) the rain is expected to be prolific, due to slow movement and lift from the mountains (similar to Helene in NC) especially IF #Melissa is a direct hit. When you combine cat 4/5 winds with 3 feet plus of rain, catastrophic is not an overstatement. For all those on #Jamaica who are reading this, please take this as a serious threat to your life. It may be, and this is not meant to sensationalize.
