If I did this, my parents would march my little @$$ over there, knock on their door, and tell them that I (and my hoodlum bratty compadres) were there to put everything back - and pay for whatever was broken. That is why Gen X is so crunchy.

let me know what you think of this

My parents would have tore my ass up & made me go back, apologize & fix everything, what couldn't be fixed would be worked for & money given for the repair/ replacements. But my parents taught me to respect others stuff so I never would have did this.

Press charges. Accountability is the only thing that corrects behavior. Think about future victims. Think about these teenagers as adults.

There have to be consequences for this behavior. Period. For the good of society, you cannot allow them to get away with this. It will get worse and more property will be damaged and maybe people will be hurt.

Press charges now and this will prevent them from being little hoodlums when it's too late. If you don't stop the behavior or have consequences now they will continue to do things like this and when they're adults the punishment is a lot worse!

Get with their parents and ask them to make their kids restore what they destroyed. If the parents agree, all is good, if not, press charges otherwise it will continue.

Ask neighbors if any of them might have the vandals on their cameras

She has a camera footage, this is how she knows they were teens.

Press charges, they need to learn a lesson or they will get even more out of control.

Yes, I would press charges. She even mentioned as a mental health advocate that unless there is a change, breakthrough in their lives at their age, then nothing will change. Teenagers need repercussions, or their bad behavior won't change.
